ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) - A federal jury reached a verdict Wednesday on whether al-Qaida conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui deserves execution or life in prison for his role in the deadliest terrorist attack in U.S. history, on Sept. 11, 2001.
On the seventh day of deliberation, the jury of nine men and three women informed Judge Leonie Brinkema that it had reached a decision. The verdict was to be announced at 4:30 p.m. EDT.
Moussaoui, a 37-year-old Frenchman of Moroccan descent, is the only person charged in this country in connection with the suicide jetliner hijackings that killed nearly 3,000 people at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a Pennsylvania field.
The verdict came after four years of legal maneuvering and a six-week trial that put jurors on an emotional roller coaster.

So much for your future as a psychic Bear. I kind of thought this was going to come back this way. I thought they might have a hard time coming up with a death sentence just for knowledge of a planned act.

I think this verdict is kind of like th OJ one. There was one way that people knew in the hearts it should go but the facts just didn't uphold that impulse.

awww...little fenie thought of that all by herself. Too bad it was dbl who had to point it out to your thick media boxed head in a different thread. Funny, how these media mesmerized tv children think they have their own IDEAS. hahahahahaaaa!!!! What a joke.

Ron - He won't. They were saying today that his "accomodations" will keep him seperated from almost all human contact for life.
Dbl - Check again - I believe you'll find that i was the one that brought that up and that you chimed in and agreed.
Oh hell... why make you think...
fenix03 - posted on April 3, 2006 02:51:27 PM i have one question on this one. If you are constitutionally protected against self incrimination, why can you be charged with not disclosing information that would incriminate yourself?
dblfugger9 - posted on April 3, 2006 02:56:54 PM fenix, you know, I am not one to agree with you much....but when I read the article I thought to myself; since when is lying to investigators (who lie too)- a crime punishable by death??

Hey Dbl Dear - made myself heard here too.... what's wrong.. can't think of a witty comeback when your own words show what a delusional little nutcase you are?
Come on dbl. You like to play the big bad b*tch all the time trying to impress and intimidate with your imaginary language. Surely you can come up with some amusing little tirade to obfuscate that fact that the only thing you ever have to contribute to a conversation is a desperate attempt to tear someone down so that your can feel someone, even if it is only yourself, thinks that you are actually worthwhile or witty.

Fenix, he's headed your way.
Moussaoui to join worst of worst at Colo. prison
Within a few days, Zacarias Moussaoui will take what likely will be the last trip of his life when he is moved to a concrete cell at the U.S. government's supermaximum-security prison in Florence, Colo.
There, the confessed al-Qaeda terrorist - who escaped a death sentence Wednesday when a federal jury here recommended that he spend the rest of his life in solitary confinement - will be held near several of the nation's most notorious criminal figures. They include "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski, Oklahoma City bombing conspirator
Terry Nichols, would-be "shoe bomber" Richard Reid, and 1993 World Trade Center bombing conspirator Ramzi Yousef.

Well...I'd hoped for a death sentence.
He could have prevented those lives being taken....and imo, that's the same as the guy who's driving the car, waiting for the bank robber who just shot and killed a bank employee/guard.
And at a cost to the taxpayers of $75,000.00 a year to 'take care of him'.....what a waste of good money.

They have been talking about that for a couple days here Bear. I remember seeing a show on the SuperMax prisonson A&E once that featured the one in Florence. Basically the entire facility is solitary confinement.
