I just wanted to say this outside Bear's thread about his dog and I hope anyone else who's offended by your cold hearted response will answer here and not in his thread.Your response to his reaching out to us in his time of sorrow was self centered and unbelievably callous. It demonstrates unequivocably how shallow and mean spirited you really are.

Sorry, dbl, but I agree with Prof on this one. A little bit of compassion for bear in his time of sorrow, would have gone a long way!

Edited to add: It did sound kind of crass to me, too, dbl. Maybe we're taking it the wrong way???

I can't believe that anyone is surprised that she would act like a shallow attention seeking ass. It's not as though this is a new addition to her repertoire.

I will give dblfugger the benefit of doubt on this one. With her extreme fondness for her new found 'fux' word combined with what I perceive as dyslexia and a mental problem, I really do think she felt sorry for Bear in a backazzwards kind of way.

According to my translation, that was a sincere sentiment that Dbl posted for Bear.

this isn't a political issue linda. Look at her words. cold, selfish, uncaring. You bet it was an attempt to get your attention Dbl, to tell you what a self centered, cold hearted ashole you are.

fuxing bear!! trying to make me cry????

Notice the key word. me. No condolences, no sympathy, no indication that Dbl can relate to losing an old friend, it's all about Dbl. I'm happy to be negative here Linda, if you can't see it, you're typing in Braille.

Are you drinking again tonight profe?

I NEVER said this WAS a political issue, profe....and IF you'd read the posts from moderate dems and liberals here....they TOO disagree with 'your' negative 'take' on dbl's post.

Are you a 'small' statured man profe? You often act like one....or like a nit-picking woman.

We EACH have our OWN way of showing/stating sympathy for others. That you don't like dbl's really isn't relative to anything. It's just ONE opinion by, imo, a VERY SMALL man....not only in stature but in character too.

lindak, I judge a man by the size of his heart.

Any man that can find a place in his heart for all those lost animals as does Profe51 is a big man in my eyes and I have always viewed him that way.

Don't let him get you down, Dblf. Profe probably got up this AM and had to eat his bowl of Lucky Pendejo's with sour milk. Usually they're magically delicious to him but today they were just plain rotten and not so lucky.

Well thanks, Pi, but I'm not worried, I know what I meant to convey. There's very few messages or people that frequent this board that would invoke my emotions to a point of sadness that I would express a sentiment of wanting to cry when I read what is written by them. And frankly, it took me off guard to see that, as I have not been here awhile, and I just popped over to see what was going on,...it caught me by surprise to find Bear in such pain and loss and I had no idea he was in that place right now.

If other people cant understand it, that is their problem, not mine. It figures certain bobble heads need to get their yucks off making something out of it. (Apparently me's little babies are going hungry since dbl hasnt been around, huh?? ...whatsamatter -criticizing and making value judgements on American Idol looses it's appeal after 900,998 pages??? LOL!) I cant help but imagine what real people, or their families put up with living with such creatures!!??? omg!! A Mal a minute. No wonder prof gets sent to hole up in the barn so often -- probably no one can tolerate his piss head for very long...I bet he even looks at himself in the mirror with mucho disgust every day, too. How psychoneurotic! -- And this person is a teacher in our school system!!?? OMG!

I see the prof’s as self righteous as ever. How would you like to be one of his students?

First thing that came to mind was a few lines of Blind Faith’s “Can’t find my way home”

Come down off your throne
And leave your body alone
Somebody must change

Dbl, I read your post as you intended it too.

Amen,

I took it as a complimentary statement, as in, 'You even made me cry.'

We had a wienie dog once that needed to have tumors removed, we dispensed with everything suchas lab tests and follow-up visits and got the operation done for $300, less than 1/2 the starting fee. A year later I came home from my out-of-town job and she literally died with her head in my hand. She had 'waited' for me to be there, and the wife told me how rough the last week was for the dog. A dollar a day was cheap for helping my first MDSO (mentally dis-ordered sock offender).

I have another STUPID wienie dog that somebody gave me. I have him because nobody will put up with him. He's trained us to push in the chairs at the table, or Zack will jack your stuff. Anyway, Zack is a mentally dis-ordered squeaky-toy offender(Hello, my name is Zack, and I am a squeaky-toyaholic). The wife was outside the other day and tried to take a squeaky toy away from Zack, when she discovered it was actually a mole. That was what that scream was, if you heard it, Classic. I had to ask her, "Do you think it made the mistake of squeaking?"

Hey, parklane, is it possible for two different breeds of dogs to be related? Yours sounds like mine only mine is a stupid shepherd-husky. We took Buddy in to get fixed. We got him a collar so he couldn't lick himself (ya, like that's a sight I like seeing) and get the incision infected. Within two days he figured out how to get around the collar. Within five days he had the stitches removed and it cost us $120 to fix the damage he did. Now, that dumb dog is downstairs with a larger collar on. He's also in a t-shirt that is pinned around him so he can't get near his incision. We have to take the t-shirt off every time he has to go outside (too bad they don't make doggie onsies). He's also now on antibiotics and doggy downers (the vets words, not mine). Even with the pain of having to get stitched up again, he is still trying to get at the incision!

I feel bad for him, but to see him in that t-shirt with a cone on his head (remember the Saturday Night Live sketch from back in the 1970's?) is just hysterical. He bumps into everything. We think that no one wanted him because he's mildly insane. Still, I wouldn't trade him for anything!

DBL - I stand corrected and hang my head in shame! I will now go join Buddy in the corner! I will, however, draw the line at wearing a cone.
