From a email I received today.

Anyone who remembers anything about World War II or has studied anything about World War II will understand and remember that during World War II, the Japanese developed a way to demoralize the American forces. The Japanese psychological warfare experts developed a message they felt would work.

They gave their psychological warfare script to their famous broadcaster "Tokyo Rose" and every day she would broadcast this same message packaged in different ways, hoping it would have a negative impact on American GI's morale.

What was that demoralizing message? It had three main points:

1. Your President is lying to you.
2. This war is illegal.
3. You cannot win the war.

Does this sound familiar?

Is it because Tokyo Hillary, Tokyo Harry, Tokyo Teddy, Tokyo Nancy, Tokyo Durbin, Tokyo Sheepa etc. have all learned from the former enemies of our country and have picked up the same message and are broadcasting it on Tokyo CNN, Tokyo ABC, Tokyo CBS, Tokyo NBC etc., to our troops?

The only difference is that they claim to support our troops before they demoralize them.

Come to think of it... Tokyo Rose told the American Troops she was on their side, also!

I had forgotten about that, it does look familiar and lest not forget Tokyo Rose also would get graphic about what was happening to "your girl" back home.
Classic would like that.

same old saw bear, if you question the war, you're a traitor...well, looks like most of the country are traitors...hey wait, in a democracy, if most of the country are traitors, then doesn't that make the few who aren't traitors, the real traitors??

Mercy, now I'm all confused.

This post by Bear and responses by a few NEOCONS just shows how desperate the NEOCONS have become over the last year or so. All their LIES and MISTAKES are coming back to bite them in the only place it hurts a neocon VOTES!!!

ITS GEORGE BUSH AND COMPANY THAT MESSED UP THE IRAQ WAR. NO ONE ELSE

THERE IS THE BEGINNING OF GOOD NEWS FOR OUR TROOPS. THE POLITICAL PRESSURE SAYING BRING OUR TROOPS HOME IS STARTING TO WORK. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE SAYING TO THIS FOOL IN THE WHITE HOUSE EITHER WIN IN IRAQ OR GET OUT OR IRAQ.

Prof, you have to admit the negative rhetoric being advanced by the above demos does sound like the propaganda Tokyo Rose broadcast.

And as if to further prove my point Tokyo Sheepa pipes in.

Bear,

Go read a novel about WAR find a couple patriotic lines like Americans are the true leaders of the World "SO YOUR EITHER WITH US OR AGAINST US". To any neocon a line like that should bring tears to their eyes and an erection at the same time.

Your post titled "GHOST OF \TOKYO ROSE" is called big time desperation on the part of a NEOCON. NEOCONS that simply can't defend DUMBO'S LIES AND HIS FAILED IRAQ WAR STARTED ON LIES.

All the lies and screwing of the middle class has caught up with the neocons.

Hmmmm......... sounds like some of you are greatly threatened by free speech and free thought and would prefer to take the easy way out and bow to your leaders and follow them anywhere. Is it easier to never question anything and just go with the propaganda machine as you blame and label others including your fellow countrymen for the screw-ups your very own leaders are responsible for?

piinthesky,

Shooter Dicky the other day said "we have fully trained 250,000 Iraqi Troops and Police."

I say WONDERFUL Dicky. Now its time for you and DUMBO BUSH to declare VICTORY IN IRAQ and bring our TROOPS HOME.

The 250,000 trained Iraqi troops and police can provide cover for our leaving AMERICAN TROOPS.

Bear, I'll grant you that the two sound similar. In much the same way as some of the things Rumsfeld, Cheney and the President have said sound like Mussolini or Hitler. But comparing them to Nazis is as ludicrous on the left's part as comparing those who question the war in this country to enemy agents is. They're both ridiculous.

DUMBO'S LIES AND HIS FAILED IRAQ WAR STARTED ON LIES.

The last time you posted that same drivel, I challenged you to post proof of your allegations and all you did was crawfish back into you HOLE.

So I dare you again to provide proof positive that Pres Bush lied. Failing that, will only further provide proof that not only are you a liar but a cowardly liar at that.

Bear,
If the Democrats get control of Congress so Congress can start a REAL INVESTIGATION into the Iraq War.

That REAL INVESTIGATION will stick the LIAR GEORGE DUMBO BUSH right up your you know where.

THE GOOD NEWS IS POLITICAL PRESSURE FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IS STARTING TO PRESSURE THE LIAR CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS INTO TALKING ABOUT BRINGING OUR TROOPS HOME.

"STAYING THE COURSE" IS CRUMBLING BEFORE DUMBO'S EYES. WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL OF NEOCON LIES AND TRICKS. OUR TROOPS COMING HOME COULD WELL BE JUST ANOTHER REPUBLICAN LIE FOR ELECTIONS.

TOKYO ROSE INDEED YOU FOOL!!!!!

Well that takes care of THAT issue then. The DEMS are NOT going to gain control of either House.

They have nothing to offer. They can't even agree on WITHDRAWING from Iraq.

They ended up with SIX....read it SIX ultra liberals voting to 'cut and run'.

They can't even get enough support from their OWN party on the war.

So....status quo will prevail. I have NO doubt.

Iraqi death toll at least 50,000
Civilians make up majority of violent deaths reported since 2003 U.S.-led invasion

By Louise Roug and Doug Smith
Originally published June 25, 2006
BAGHDAD // At least 50,000 Iraqis have died violently since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion, according to statistics from the Baghdad morgue, the Iraqi Health Ministry and other agencies - a toll 20,000 higher than previously acknowledged by the Bush administration.

Many more Iraqis are believed to have been killed but have not been counted because of serious lapses in recording the number of deaths in the chaotic first year after the invasion, when there was no functioning Iraqi government, and because of continued spotty reporting nationwide.

The toll, which is dominated by civilians but likely also includes some security forces and insurgents, is daunting: Proportionately, it is as if 600,000 Americans had been killed nationwide during the past three years. In the same period, at least 2,521 U.S. service members have been killed in Iraq.

Iraqi government officials involved in compiling the statistics say violent deaths in some regions have been grossly undercounted, notably in the troubled province of Anbar, where local health workers are often prevented from compiling the data because of violence, security crackdowns, electrical shortages and failing telephone networks.

The Health Ministry acknowledged the undercount. In addition, the ministry said its figures exclude the three provinces that make up the semiautonomous northern region of Kurdistan because Kurdish officials do not provide death toll figures to the government in Baghdad.

Where have I lied peepa? I am not you and stop thinking about yourself when adressing me. You have been proven a liar time and again. You continue to fail at showing where President Bush lied.
Your prediction for this November is wrong as usual. There is no such thing as the "great American protest" that is something you seem to keep alive only in your mind.
