Someone obviously needs to step up to the plate and help out the dopehead. The Bush Administration has no International respect, especially when it comes to foreign affairs. He goes into a summit, acting arrogant, but half of the foreign leaders speak better English than him. Bush pretends he actually has ground to stand on, but he simply doesn't.
Bush has led this world into what is becoming World War 3. Look at Israel, Syria, Lebanon, and Iran. Look at North Korea. He is stepping on the toes of America's Landlord... China who at any time can pull our debt that he sold to them.
Bush again proves himself as worthy as a grain of sand stuck on my butt after a day at the beach. Someone throw Georgie a Life Preserver because he is stupid enough to not ask for one as he continues to drown.

Before the war Norman Schwarzkopf advised that the weapon inspectors be given more time and for the US not to rush into Iraq as they wouldn't be able to handle it alone and he said he was nervous about Rumsfeld because he disregarded the army. There was a good reason why Clinton wanted to 'contain' Saddam as there was the possibility the whole area would blow up.
Bush has now proven to the world and to the enemy many times over what a joke he is and no one takes him serious anymore. Now it's time for the international community to join forces and try to solve some of this mess. They should first 'contain' Bush and his administration before The Decider does even further damage and WWIII breaks out.

At least President Bush is doing something for the yellow cowards to piss and moan about. He was the best man to be voted into office and has done a good job. His stance on illegal immigration is misguided and needs to be changed but his international politics is what the US has needed. Clinton didn't "contain" anything, he allowed this to fester until a real president had to take action.
I would rather have decades of someone like President Bush in office than 1 hour like some traitor Kerry or some momma's boy like gore.
What we need is for the republicans to stop placating the democrats and get down to business.
Some of you are going to wake up on November the 8th very disappointed. If democrats run clinton for president in 2008, well that would be the best thing the republicans could hope for.

It doesn't matter who's president nearly as much as who's in congress, and by EVERY poll taken by anybody recently, likely voters are going to vote for democrats by a margin of more than 10%.
I frankly wouldn't half mind seeing a republican president and a dem controlled congress, assuming a republican with some sense of actual conservative economic values instead of this big government neocon warmongering nonsense. Our traditional system of checks and balances has been trashed by this regime. It's out the window, gone. Republicans and all but a few democrats are turning their heads politely as the emperor passes butt naked. Makes me sick to see.
I don't know who the dems are going to run for president and I don't much care. As long as republicans keep dreaming it's going to be Hillary they won't concentrate on picking a candidate who can win in the wake of Bush's failed reign. That works for me.

The Bush Administration has absolutely zero respect in the International community, with perhaps the exception of booty sniffer Tony Blair. The US right now looks like a bully who had their @ss kicked on the playground. As Newt Gingrich pointed out, our government is being played, and being played hard. North Korea thinks our policies are nothing but a joke, and when NK makes us look bad, Iran steps in and makes us look worse. In the meantime, the Bush Administration has pushed so hard for democratic elections in the middle east. What has that brought the Middle East? Extremists in power. Democracy cannot work when you have religious/militant extremists in power. We have seen that here and again in these pseudo democracies that the BS Administration of the US has placed in power. It has been nothing but miscalculation after miscalculation, lie after lie to cover up those miscalculations, death after death to cover up the lies, and so on.
Cheney takes payment from Halliburton, the same company who just lost their contract because they have stolen billions of dollars from American tax payers. So, basically, Cheney is stealing money from tax payers as he receives profits from war profiteering and extortion. Yet, you have stupid neocons like Ron who thinks this Administration does such a wonderful job. So much for conservative accountability, eh? Neocons like Ron simply prove their lack of political accountability. They are more concerned about having their guy in power rather than what is good for this country. Again, the reason why they are Anti American.

The diplomatic void does not bode well for a quick resolution of the crisis, even if a United Nations delegation in the region steps into the breach.
Hizbullah aims to shift power balance
The lack of a US initiative in a region of traditional influence suggests the White Hose sees little to be gained from intervention at this time, but it also suggests how inattention to the region has left the US with few options.
The reasons the US is watching this crisis from the sidelines are many: The Bush administration has been preoccupied with Iraq, it does not have diplomatic ties with the Middle Eastern countries that matter in this escalation, and it has been unwilling to pressure Israel to avoid military response when Tel Aviv's security is threatened. The US position represents a change from earlier days - such as the administration of the first President Bush, who enlisted diplomats like James Baker and Brent Skowcroft to ease tensions - when America brought pressure to bear on all parties, including Israel, to slam the Pandora's box back shut.
"The US has very little leverage over the situation, and all that does is underline that the US is weak and has lost the kind of influence it once had in the region," says Arthur Hughes, former director general of the Israel-Egypt multinational force and now a scholar at the Middle East Institute in Washington. "It's frightening to our partners, like Japan and Europe because, as they see it, the only thing worse than a US that is too strong is a US that is too weak."

And I will add... Since George has zero experience in dealing with International affairs, he should be looking to former Presidents who actually have experience in this matter. Send in Clinton, Bush Sr, and Carter to work with these problems. They have more clout and respect around the world than Bush does in his own country. Clinton's diplomacy, Bush Sr experience with the CIA, and Carter's humanitarian efforts single handedly give us the upper hand. Sending Clinton and George Sr in for Tsunami relief helped those who suffered, and gained alot of respect towards American humanitarian efforts. GW talking tough has become the International joke of the decade and has pushed America backwards.
Neocons like to say liberals don't offer ideas, well there is one right there. The problem is that this current Administration ignores anything outside of their agenda.

Clinton- had an opportunity to take Bin Laden out, didn't because he was afraid of what some other countries would think. He is the cause behind all this and you want him?

Wow, you just berated the entire city of New Orleans for the actions of a few. There are alot of Republicans and Democrats who live and/or lived there. The population of New Orleans was 1.3 million. Yet, you have grouped 1.3 million people together blaming them for the fraud committed by perhaps a few thousand people, many of which were Republicans. Perhaps you can share with us exactly what those "negative" comments I have made towards our troops are? I would love to know. Beyond that, quit insulting the intelligence of our military service personnel. They know we support them. We know they are doing their job they were sent to do, and they know deep down that they were sent to Iraq based on a lie. It's not like they don't watch even FOX NEWS who reported it.

If this Administration had actually listened to their military advisors, to the UN, and to the International community regarding Iraq, America wouldn't be in this mess. It is our American kids who are placed into harms way so that we can save a few cents on your next gallon of gas. Personally, I'd rather have every single American soldier who lost their lives, lost their arm, leg, hand, etc to have their lives back. Every single family who had their son, daughter, sister, brother, father, mother ripped from them because a dipsh!t in charge decided their lives were less important than their stock options know full well the extent that they lost their loved one. The Bush Administration needs help and that is exactly what I said to begin with. So far they have done nothing but lose respect for America whether it be with the UN or not. Credibility is the issue, and I am all for Bush working through the UN, but he has yet to once actually make progress forward. Placing Bolton in the UN is a classic example. Bullying your way around the world doesn't work. That is why the US and the UK are the only real military in Iraq right now. Nobody wants to touch it because the Bush Admin bullied their way to get everything, and that is exactly what they were left with... EVERYTHING! NK and Iran have been much more important issues than Iraq ever was. In 5.5 years, Iran and North Korea have made sure they were strong enough to p!ss in the eye of our government. The Bush policy was to take out an Iraqi dictator who wasn't a threat, take the eye off the ball in Afghanistan and Bin Laden. No exit strategy, no plans on how to rebuild, etc. We see where it got us. Now, I know your next move is to tell us liberals we don't offer any suggestions or help, but in actuality... Bush had it spelled out for him very clearly. It is called the POWELL DOCTRINE. Something Bush chose to ignore. And before you say that it was Rumsfeld who decided how to handle the war, Bush made it very clear that He IS THE DECIDER!!! We could argue the reasons for war, and whether or not we should have gone to war in Iraq, the fact remains that Bush's strageties have failed this country over and over again.

Equality for all Americans? There is equal opportunity for all Americans right now. If it means giving handouts to those who haven't earned it or doesn't deserve it, hopefully I will never see that.
Bolton was the best choice to send to the UN, he puts the word out America should be sending to that organization.
Oh and I see as typical liberal you overlook the fact there was a UN resolution in place against Iraq, we have found some WMD they didn't move to Syria and overall it is working.
