I heartily agree. If none of us would respond to one of her myriad postings here, we'd all be a lot happier. Let's go on a Linda diet for, say, a week, and see how fast her posts drop off the bottom of the page. I for one am sick of letting her pull our strings; she does INDEED thrive on the attention, poor thing, and she really is not worth arguing with.

I said the same some two years ago and except for once or twice have held to it. In fairness however I should say that although i read this board on a regular basis I usually don't join in the dialog except on rare instances that I choose.

Amen to that.
But I doubt that a group effort will succeed. Before Linda was suspended from OTWA an effort was made to ignore her posts but there were always a few who couldn't leave their plaything alone. The only answer is intervention by a moderator, which we don't have.
I suppose it's outrageously naive to think that she might change or leave on her own volition.

Starving the beast may be fine but there is the risk that some newbie stops by the forum for the first time and sees Linda naming one of us as advocating the assassination of the President or interfering in auctions or spamming her e-mail with gay porn. That may be the impression they go away with and keep next time they see our names if we haven't responded and denied doing such things.
Sometimes the beast needs to be exposed for what she is.

She can't ignore us so why should we ignore her...that would be like ignoring the 500 pound evil gorilla in the room.
Besides I LIKE making a fool of her and watching others do the same....she asks for it and deserves it. She's a parody of a human being and provides such a wild sense of "does a wacko like this REALLY exist?".

Well it worked wonders in the case of Davebraun. We've got him down to only joining in the dialog on rare instances. Now if only we can get him to go away altogether then we'd be all set.

The OTWA has gotten along without the beast.

I had the solution in another thread....just start agreeing with her.....it might deflate her like a big fat gas filled balloon. It's conflict and abuse she thrives on(and I suspect, is used to but doesn't get anymore).

What's funny about this whole thing is that several have made references to what happened at Otwa in the same matter, with Linda but what all have failed miserably to point out is the how of it, at Otwa.
At the time, numerous people either PM'ed or emailed the administrator and/or his wife, asking for Linda to be moderated and so after there was enough of a public outcry, their wishes were carried out and Linda got the boot from Otwa.
Then there's this pearl of wisdom [eyeroll] from Helen; The only answer is intervention by a moderator, which we don't have.
Reading between the lines of that statement, one could easily come to the conclusion that what Helen is suggesting is that her fellow members that agree with her should email the admins here and ask that Linda be moderated and/or just booted out altogether. But we all know that sort of thing doesn't occur here [eyeroll] so reading into it something that is not there means nothing.

I don't operate like that piinthesky. As you probably know, I don't report people to the Vendio administration and I would guess that most here feel the same way. It's so wussy and rat-like, don't you agree? Do you really think that I would ask or insinuate that others should do what I believe is not kosher?
Linda caused a disruption at OTWA and she alone is responsible for her suspension there. The owners of OTWA made that decision based on personal observation and not exclusively on member's complaints. They even gave her an extra month to try to conform to their guidelines. Now it's time for Linda to take some personal responsibility for her failure to conform there and try to do here what she would not do there.
We all hope that she will try.

What was so strange and odd about how it all went down at Otwa is that Jim and Crystal skewed thier own guidelines to suit and appease the members that complained to them about anyone that they happened to disagree with at any given time or on a whim. There was no violation(s) of their written guidelines by Linda and I don't see that she has violated any here either.
But do continue to claim that ya'll are within your rights to have her or anyone silenced, just because you disagree with her/them. It shows your true level of intelligence, which is at the junior high school level.

Anyone that displays the characteristics and bitterness that Linda does will self-destruct in time. Fortunately I don't have to witness the visual damage she's up against; it's her that looks in her mirror daily and it will be her health at risk if she continues on like this. Life is too short for any one of us to worry our pretty heads over her 'episodes'. Stay happy and let her carry on.
