New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson is expected to formally file papers to form a presidential exploratory committee in January.
But today he told FOX News "I am running," as he described the professional and personal experiences that he believes have prepared him for the job.
"I've dealt with the issues that are very important today - national security, immigration and energy," said Richardson, who was Secretary of Energy and later U.N. Ambassador during the Clinton administration.
In addition to his previous experience in the Clinton White House, Richardson believes that his Hispanic heritage will be an advantage in his campaign for the presidency.
"I am Hispanic, which I believe is an asset," Richardson said. "But I'm not running as an Hispanic, I am running as an American who is proud to be Hispanic."
Richardson plans to travel to New Hampshire, the first of the nation's states to hold a primary, the weekend after next.

I'm personally glad to see someone like Richardson thrown his hat in the '08 race. Of all who will be running for the dem nomination....he's probably the best person they've got.
"While the democratic party complains about everything THIS President does to protect our Nation": "What would a Democrat president have done at that point?"
"Apparently, the answer is: Sit back and wait for the next terrorist attack."

She's paid to do it...has to be...nobody else would publically humiliate themselves for FREE like she does!

Her pattern is:
1.Get butt kicked in several threads
2. Scream, "everybody but me is a liar!"
3. Never answer pertinent questions
4. Post several new topics to hide humiliation.

Ohio Rep. Kucinich to Run for President

Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich, who unsuccessfully ran for president in 2004, said Monday he is planning to run again because his party isn't pushing hard enough to end the war in Iraq.
In a statement, Kucinich said he plans to formally announce his candidacy for 2008 on Tuesday at City Hall, where he served as mayor of his hometown in the 1970s.
The liberal, anti-war congressman said he was inspired to run because he disagrees with the way some of his fellow Democrats are handling the war in Iraq, including approval of a proposal to spend $160 billion more on the conflict.

"Democrats were swept into power on Nov. 7 because of widespread voter discontent with the war in Iraq," said the Ohio lawmaker. "[b]Instead of heeding those concerns and responding with a strong and immediate change in polices and direction, the Democratic congressional leadership seems inclined to continue funding the perpetuation of the war[b]."
The anti-war message was also the cornerstone of Kucinich's 2004 bid, which drew support from some Hollywood celebrities.
He was re-elected last month to a sixth term in the House.
His previous presidential proposals have included a national peace department and a single-payer, universal health care system.
