He can join the ranks of us who've had hip replacements. Mine was 9 years ago and still looks good as new in the xrays. Great surgery.

He is fortunate to be able to afford such surgery. Many people with similar problems in this country would be left bedridden for lack of insurance or even worse, left to die.

WOW _What 3rd world country do you reside?
Hip replacement surgery is common. It is not just for the rich.It is performed routinely .
Maybe the "remark" was belched because he had his at the Mayo Clinic. The Mayo Clinic is often where former Presidents receive care.
Back to the comment about many left to die -- Medicare and Medicaid BOTH will pay for this It is NOT selective surgery.
WHY WHY WHY do some always find something negative in any news's story about George H or George W Bush?
Why? Why? Why?

Concerning this enlightening of how many die because of not getting hip replacements.
People are apparently dying left and right from lack of hip replacements, that is very sad..
The deaths of heart patients from not getting the correct care must be enormous.
Just think how fortunate William Clinton was to get medical care for his ailment.
And when things did not heal correctly, he was once again sooooooooo fortunate, he received more care.

Why? Because there is nothing significantly positive to report about the Bush family. My comment suggested a related topic that might encourage discussion. You reject it so carry on with your thread about a former president of the United States who survived a hip replacement operation at the Mayo Clinic.
And just for your information, people are in fact left to die because they cannot afford medical care or insurance in this country.

I know, we pay almost $800 a month for health insurance. It is terrible.
I guess, Hiliary Rodman Clinton is still busy busy working on a health care program.
She often stated that was her primary concern and she would strive to complete it.
Hopes she gets it finished soon.
She is such a dear to work so hard on this project, without letup.
I have "forgotten" how any bills concerning health care she has presented since being in the Senate.

Yes, Clinton was fortunate. He had wonderful medical care just as you would expect for anyone in such an elite position.
Now, carry on with your topic, undisturbed by any significant interest or problem.

I have dyslexia so I am the first to admit my spelling is very bad. Don't worry about the little things.
I think George H is feeling very bad at his age about George Jr. I feel bad for George Sr. he is starting to fail and DUMBO isn't helping.
The New-cons love to dump on me about misspelled words but in reality the cons like Liar_k are just pissed because I tend to expose her lies and evil ways.
