I received this in an email this morning and I immediately thought you had sent it to me!

Fess up now.. you wrote it didn't you!

Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001 ?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?

Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia .

I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured that I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and ---- you guessed it - - I don't care ! ! ! ! !

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your e-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button.

Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great country.

I add:

--"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem."

LOL....No, Maggie but it pretty much says how I DO see what's been happening.

The areas I would 'say' or write differently would be what I see *not happening in the first place* would be [one example from your list] the disrespecting of the GITMO qurans.

I don't believe what they say was done was actually done...so I wouldn't say "I don't care"....I would say I know it didn't happen.

But the liberal press seems unwilling to let the general readership KNOW what has been going on there...what the wacko muslims have been doing to our soldiers. Throwing their urine, feces, spitting on them, etc. at them. And they have to just 'take' it.

There's NO outcry from our press about THEIR behaviors. Nope....only print anything that makes our soldiers look bad. YET they SAY they support our troops. I just don't see things like that as supporting our troops.

Looks to me like they automatically believe whatever falsehood our enemies state, or the press prints, as facts...but totally ignore what our enemies are doing to our troops.

edited to add: And another issue brought up.

I would believe an American soldiers account over an Iraqi so-called journalist ANY DAY.

Guess that's choosing who we would believe more. One or the other. I'll always side with our troops. UNTIL full proof is shown rather than all the insinuation that they throw forward to ENRAGE people AGAINST our troops actions.

Another GREAT example of why you just cannot believe everything you read.

from ABC News - today
Dead U.S. Soldier in Anti-War Video 'Alive and Well'

January 08, 2007 8:00 AM
Rhonda Schwartz and Maddy Sauer Report:

An Iraqi insurgent propaganda video, containing what is described as a Christmas message from a U.S. soldier taped just before he was killed, appeared on dozens of Web sites and on the al Jazeera network.

But a lot about the video does not add up, including the fact that ABC News found the supposedly dead soldier is "alive and well" and present for duty, according to a U.S.

Army spokesman at Fort Campbell, Ky.
"There are a whole bunch of lies on that tape," said Lt. Col. Ed Loomis at Fort Campbell. "It is nothing but a total fabrication."

Yet it appears, SADLY, that so many Americans will believe it for no other reason than someone LIED.

It's like we're required to continuing providing the TRUTH....when the falsehoods are so easily accepted by some.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"While the democratic party complains about everything THIS President does to protect our Nation": "What would a Democrat president have done at that point?"
"Apparently, the answer is: Sit back and wait for the next terrorist attack."
You better watch now Maggie, Linda will accuse you of sending her emails even after she gave out her email address to the entire world.
Absolute faith has been shown, consistently, to breed intolerance. And intolerance, history teaches us, again and again, begets violence.
The duty of a patriot in this time and place is to ask questions, to demand answers, to understand where our nation is headed and why. If the answers you get do not suit you, or if they frighten you, or if they anger you, it is your duty as a patriot to dissent. Freedom does not begin with blind acceptance and with a flag. Freedom begins when you say 'No.'
