Military: 3 U.S. Soldiers Killed in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - The U.S. military said Saturday that three American troops were killed, including a soldier whose patrol was struck by a roadside bomb in Baghdad.
The Multi-National Division _ Baghdad soldier died and another was wounded Saturday when an improvised explosive device struck their patrol in a northern section of the capital, according to the statement.
Earlier this week, members of the unit conducted raids in northern Baghdad to disrupt militia activities resulting in the detention of 12 suspects, the military added, as U.S. and Iraqi forces gear up for a major neighborhood-by-neighborhood sweep aimed at quelling the spiraling violence in the capital.
A Task Force Lightning soldier assigned to 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division was killed Friday by a roadside bomb while conducting combat operations in the northwest province of Ninevah, the military said in a separate statement. Two other soldiers were wounded, it said.
A Marine assigned to Regimental Combat Team 5 also died Friday from wounds sustained due to enemy action in the Sunni insurgent stronghold of Anbar province, the military said.
The names of those killed were being withheld pending notification of relatives.

If all the deaths get confirmed America has lost 3,041 Troops in BUSHY invasion of Iraq to-date. America also has near 23,000 wounded Troops with thousands horribly wounded

The only reason murders HAD declined in NO was the majority of the murdering basards had moved to Houston. Now that many are moving back to NO, that murder rate is back to climbing to normal.
Philadelphia's 2006 homicide total was 403 as of Wednesday, the first time the number has topped 400 in nearly a decade. There were 380 murders in 2005.
Houston police attribute a 15 percent increase in the homicide count to the influx of Katrina evacuees from the Gulf Coast.

In an unprecedented display of civic outrage over violent crime, as many as 3,000 people marched on City Hall on Thursday, demanding that city leaders stem the tide of violence and calling on ordinary citizens to help make New Orleans safer.
Organized in the wake of a string of almost daily murders in the new year, the protest channeled the city's rising anger and fear. "We have come to declare that a city that could not be drowned in waters of a storm will not be drowned in the blood of its citizens," said the Rev. In another post I bitched about BUSHY letting our 2 brave southern border guards (WHO SHOT A MEXICAN DRUG DEALER IN HIS AZZ) go to jail this week.
Liar_K said the Border Guards deserve jail! So much for her support of our brave southern borders guards.

They just don't 'get it' Bear.
All the lost life from so many avenues of life. Those who died for no reason....no mission....
Their deaths did nothing to improve the situation in the world...they died needlessly and their deaths won't change a thing in the larger scheme of life.
But the treasure we've lost in all our wars....HAVE made a difference to the world...to the peaceful changes we've witnessed come about following these same wars...and the allies we've gained because of the same.
We're going to continue to lose our national treasure....and they're going to continue to use their deaths to focus on for their own agenda.
But I sleep well at night knowing each of our men and women in uniform know full well what they chose to volunteer to do....knew full well what risks they were taking....and yet they had the character, bravery, and guts to do what they believed needed to be done.
Let the whiners whine....let those who have said they'd never fight for anything...let alone our Nation...or peace in other Nations. They have nothing to offer except more whining.
They haven't been NOR will they EVER be the people who have been our heros....have made a difference to our world.

Craw, I'm a hellofalot more sympathetic about what the troops are going through than you'll ever know. Every gun show I'm at I talk to the guys that have just returned from Iraq & Afghanistan. I know what they are going through, there is something you'll never understand, its called "brothers in arms". Its also referred to as "seeing the elephant". I've seen the elephant. Different war, different time, we are still brothers in arms.

I just finished watching a very informative program on Fox News....maybe you can catch it at a different time in your own area.
The investigative report was about things Hezbolla supporters in the U.S. and B.C have committed crimes to make money to send to Lebanon terrorists to support their efforts.
One of the ways they were doing this was in N.C. back in 2000 by spending a TON of money buying cigaretts in N.C. where their taxes are the lowest...and then selling them in the states where taxes are the highest on cigarettes...thus sending the money they made to support terrorism.
One of their young followers was found quilty and sentenced to 150 years....and of course, now some terrorist supporting lawyer is going to appeal.
Whatever side you are on in this U.S. war on terrorism....I'd highly recommend you watch it. IF for no other reason that to become AWARE of how they're even operating here in the States....and in Canada.

The last gun show I was at I heard disillusion about BUSHY invasion of Iraq. Again are you trying to deceive people?
The truth is an ever increasing number of Troops are getting tired of being pushed around called up 2,3,and 4 times by their commander and failure BUSHY. Twenty more dead troops just today.
We all know BUSHY will in 4 to 6 months tell everybody Iraq did not make the grade.
The question is how many more young Americans will BUSHY ask to DIE???

Thanks,I can better see your delusions now. You are like BUSHY you only surround yourself with Military people or in BUSHY case what is called yes men. Military people are great people but hardly express the feelings and thoughts across the entire country.
You really need to get out more for a broader more balanced understanding of reality. You need to act more like a informed proud Texan businessman who deals in firearms.
You don't need to act like some narrow minded,red neck,shady Texassan gun dealer. Those fools are a dime a dozen and never get very far in business.
There I just showed you how to make more money and better yourself without costing you a penny you owe me one.
