She has her own plans ....screw the stockholders....forget about all the 401k's and investors who hold oil stocks.....SHE KNOWS BETTER how to spend PRIVATE corp. money.

Not quiet Linda. You take one phrase from a 40 minute speach and make it seem like she is just robbing them blind. She wants to have some of those profits invested in alternative energy programs.
I guess you would rather have the oil companies make huge profits while the US still depends on foreign oil. Bush keeps saying we need to lessen our need for foreign oil but does not have a plan on how to do this. Hillary comes up with a plan and you call her a thief.

Further more Bush made an aim at curbing the excessive pay and bonuses given to CEO's. He wants to tie compensation to performance. Kinda like the Robin Hood principle. But yet you do not have a problem with it. You are a hypocrite.

Yo-yo those are PRIVATE profits that BELONG to investors AND 401k holders - stockholders....NOT to any communist liberal who thinks THEY can decide just to "TAKE" them.

IF the gov supports using alternative energy....FINE....then THEY can fund it.
We are NOT YET living in a communist nation where supporters of clinton can just agree to TAKE OVER private industry.

I never said I supported Hillary's plan. I pointed out what was said in her entire 40 minute speech. Not just some 30 second bit from youtube.
Furthermore, if you would have read the entire speech you would have learned that the proposal would be a oil-profits tax to help fund this initiative. The government does have the right to tax companies and individuals and THIS IS NOT SPELLED OUT IN THE CONSTITUTION EITHER.

Sure logansdad...they've promised to not renew some of the tax breaks. And when they do and our AVERAGE American tax payers actually gets to SEE how much more in taxes they'll be paying....they'll KNOW which party was responsible for RAISING TAXES. That might be a help in '08.
And that's why I don't believe they'll ACT....just more of their constant TALKING....before the elections. It would be a VOTE KILLER, imo.

Anyone has the ability to pull up the TAX RATE SCHEDULES under the clinton administration
and then compare them to the TAX RATE SCHEDULES under this administration.
There they will find THE FACTS. ALL the tax rates WERE reduced under this administrations tax cuts. And MORE of the bottom income Americans were REMOVED totally from paying ANY taxes.
THAT benefitted ALL Americans. Live in your denial....the facts ARE THERE for any person who has two brain cells to see.

Big deal. The tax rates are lower, but that does not necessarily equal a benefit to all Americans as you claim. All it proves is that the Americans have paid less to the federal government in taxes during the Bush administration. All it proves it the federal governemnt has taxen in less tax revenue. This expalins two things - one why teh federal government is so far in debt and is forcing future generations to pay off that debt. Second, it shifts the tax burden from the federal governemnt to the local governments. Since the federal government has less revenues to fund items it forces states to fund those projects. If the states can not rely on governement funding where does that money come from, the people in the form of higher local taxes.

Oh, but we DO see the importance of NORMAL Americans having a lower tax rate....we just don't see bush giving them one.
