Giuliani Estranged From His Children
Some Say Personal Problems May Hurt Prospects
CBS News
NEW YORK (March 5) -- It doesn't look like Rudy Giuliani 's two children will have a role in his presidential campaign. According to press reports, the GOP frontrunner's third marriage has alienated his son, Andrew, 21, and daughter, Caroline, 18, from their father.
Giuliani's 21-year-old son, Andrew, told the New York Times that he would be too busy working on his golf game to participate in his father's presidential campaign.
"There's obviously a little problem that exists between me and his wife," the younger Giuliani told the newspaper. "And we're trying to figure that out. But as of right now it's not working as well as we would like."
Giuliani's marriage to his third wife, Judith Nathan, followed his divorce from Donna Hanover, the mother of Andrew and Caroline.
In 2000, Giuliani announced during a live TV interview that he planned to divorce Hanover. She responded by publicly accusing Giuliani of adultery.
Caroline Giuliani has not spoken publicly, but the Times and New York's tabloid newspapers reported that she was also alienated from her father as a result of his marriage to Nathan.
The New York Daily News reported that Giuliani rarely spends time with his children and that he had failed to attend many important events in their lives, including Andrew's golf tournaments and Caroline's school plays.
Andrew Giuliani is a sophomore at Duke and a member of the school's golf team. Caroline attends a private Catholic school in Manhattan. She will attend Harvard University in the fall. Giuliani has had no comment on his relationship with his children.
Giuliani holds a huge lead in the polls over GOP presidential rival John McCain , but some political analysts believe the former New York Mayor's estrangement from his children and other personal problems is bound to inflict political damage.
The repugs are so split they will start destroying each other soon. I can't wait to see them slater each other over MORALS remember the party of MORALS?
Hells Bells they might even bring in the KING of morals NEWT soon.

Pointing out spelling/typos USUALLY only comes from the liberals here. That's because they're NOT intelligent enough to post to topic.
=============
With 20 months to go....I don't believe many conservatives or republicans, for that matter, are REAL upset about his personal life.
Just like most LIBERALS here weren't about the womanizer's.
But the hypocrites WILL try and make a big deal out of what they once said didn't matter.

Is that the best you can do waco, attack his PERSONAL life. After defending clinton you should know better.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.George S. Patton

LIAR_K,
You ain't seen nothing yet about good old Rudy.
Liar_K, are you saying the party of "morals" isn't pretending they worry about morals any longer. I can remember when BUSHY and his gang pretended to be men of God to get the sincere Christians to vote for their PHONY Christian Azzes? Boy-o-Boy what a flip flop on MORALS this one is.
Soon the republicans will start cutting each other up big time.

Bear,
I am not attacking Rudy's personal life I am just posting what his kids think about him.
You ain't see nothing yet about old Rudy.
Looks like the party of morals has split and grumbled.
Of course you all know about the meeting of Conservatives from all over the country this past weekend.
At that meeting they asked this question are you more like a Reagan or Bush republican. Only 3% said they were more of a Bush republican. This BUSHY is not liked even by his own party.
What a mess BUSHY has put his party and country in!!!!!

LOL....Anyone who didn't care about the total LACK of morals in the clinton administration....and with the 'cigar player' himself...shouldn't be the least bit bothered by this mans morals.
It would make them a hypocrite. It's either okay or it's not. Morals do not depend on WHICH party is doing anything.
=======
And his SON....when asked by the news reporters said:
"I think my father would make a GREAT president".
So put THAT cigar in your pipe and smoke it 'waco'.
edited to add a DIRECT QUOTE from his son.
taken from ABC yesterday:
Andrew Giuliani made clear that despite their personal differences, he fully supports his father's bid for president, and believes he's the right person to run the country.
"I have problems with my father, but it doesn't mean he won't make a great president," he said. "He was a great mayor. He did great things for New York and would be very effective as a president. He is a great leader. He has vision, and he is willing to stand up for what he believes in."
Though he supports his father, Andrew Giuliani does not plan on participating in his campaign. As a Duke University sophomore and aspiring professional golfer, he has no time for distractions.
"I will not be active in his campaign," he said. "I am too busy with golf."

Why don't you ASK us how we felt about Clinton's transgressions?
I hated the Lewinsky thing, from start to finish, ranted and raved all over the house about how stupid he'd been, how he was hurting the party. I even wrote a letter to him, not that would have made any difference in his family's life.
We don't have one friend (many Democrats, of course), who wasn't really angry and offended by that thing.
Linda and others keep bringing up Clinton's "stuff" and asking why we don't criticize that. We DID CRITICIZE THAT when it happened! It's over, now. And we have other things to pay attention to.
One of the things we've noticed over the years is that the Democrats in public life, as a GROUP, have more 1st marriages that have lasted, fewer divorces. Look at Newt and some of the other "family values" guys. And Dole. And Giuliani. And Reagan. And Ford.

Good point.....and it will go right over the heads of the raging neocons in here....just like the FACT that the "family values" party supports Rudy who's on his third wife....GEE, he's so much more moral than Clinton..HA!
Do you really think he waited until he was divorced EACH TIME before he started cattin' around...you gullible idiots with your flagrant DOUBLE STANDARDS!!!!

roadsmith asks:- "Why don't you ASK us how we felt about Clinton's transgressions?"
You're joking, right? Questions put to the liberals/dems here GO UNANSWERED. All I have to do is ask a serious question and the leftie DISAPPEARS. lol
=
Secondly....IF you were one of those who also found clintons lack of morals/committment to his family/PLEDGE to our nation to uphold the laws....then I wouldn't see you as being one of the hypocrites.
But that hasn't been the case in 99% of the lefties here. They have gone on and on about how that JUST wasn't important and 'so what? he was a good president anyway'.
That's a double standard...one maybe you can't see....but it's quite clear to me.
As I said....it's either OKAY for ALL or ones morals says it's not. It's nothing but being a hypocrite for those to whom it ONLY matters IF it's a rightie.

'waco' IF you can't find the ABC website all by yourself....you have more problems than even I believe you have.
You ARE an adult, right? You have supposedly ran a business in your lifetime.
Try....don't just expect others to do the work for you.
