Since it looks like I will be back for awhile I need some updates people... give me the dirt.. who's new (and will I like them?) who hasflown the coup? Who has new additions, new bragging rights, new sucesses, etc. Give me the dirt people?

No dirt here fenix....I'm staying out of the dirty stuff pretty much and enjoying myself a lot more. My girls came home without boyfriends this year...hoo-haw!! The suitors were around on the periphery but managed to give me the slip pretty well...darn the bad luck The oldest is back home now as it's lambing and kidding season. She's taken over the midwife responsibilities and is much better at it than I am...must be her small hands when she has to go diving in to pull out a kid or lamb who got lost inside it's mama. She's currently revamping my arcane bookkeeping system in her spare time and is determined to find a way to reduce our feed bills, which are becoming a huge chunk of overhead, and is trying to convince me that we are well known enough to put on a significant horse event that will actually show a profit..I guess I should have expected this from a girl who started shaming me about fixing the fences when she was 7. She seems determined to drag me kicking and screaming into at least the 20th century before she leaves. I think I'm some kind of subject for one of her research projects or something...life is good. Where'ya been?

Sounds like you have a hell of a business woman on your hands there Prof... why am I not surprised?
I've been all over the past couple months working at motorcycle and car shows and the like. Was supposed to go to Laughlin next week and was really looking forward to Myrtle Beach for two weeks next month but I went in for a "wellness check" this week and found out I may not be all that well. My partner, who we almost lost about two months ago due to a health scare of his own, put his foot down and informed me there will be no more shows until I know what's going on. (He knows me too well. I'd much rather take care of business than take care of myself but he learned his lesson the hard way and is trying to keep me from doing the same). Depending on the outcome of an upcoming follow-up, I may have to have a surgery which will keep me off the road for a couple months. Ironically he just found out today that he is going to have to have two seperate eye surgeries himself so we may be done until the fall. I'm not thrilled since the income from this summer schedule would have allowed us to open a store we were hoping to open this fall but sometimes fate decides to knock you on your ass and kick you in the teeth just to test your will.
After all these years, you would think that fate would have figured out I am a stubborn, determined b*tch who doesn't stay down.

Okay...here's some dirt.
To get away from mingotree, who at that time was calling herself crowfarm....I left the RT and started posting on otwa.
LOL...didn't take long before all hell broke loose. I had entered a liberal chat board where they didn't at ALL like opposing opinions....and especially not from a very conservative poster like myself.
Time after time they 'tattled' to jim and crystal that **I** was disrupting their liberal bashing forum.
So...I was asked to post LESS. LOL 30-50 liberals addressing me or my comments each day and I wasn't supposed to answer them all back. OR if I did I would be suspended. Well....that was the final result.
So...I came back to the RT, which at that time was close to be DEAD....and mingo followed me right back here. After all these years she is still obsessed with ME.
Helen in the meanwhile was posting what was going on over at otwa....here in the RT...trying to stir up ANY conversation. But the funny part was she kept insisting on OTHER boards that she didn't post here anymore.
KD and maggie announced in a religious thread that THEY were God. (s) LOL LOL that brought about some interesting posting, needless to say.
classic still pops in to give us a daily dose of humor.
Pi, Colin, and couple others left the RT, mostly, and formed a board called 'The Revs Roadshow'. Many followed over there... They too were suspended from otwa....as has been MANY more conservative posters. They have a HUGE double standard there too. lol Only liberals can get away with the same things the conservatives are suspended or banned from doing.
Let's see...what else?
From the Rev's roadshow Doc Arcane started his own board...which still exists. There was some problem....there always is and now Pi and the doc don't post on the rev's board anymore....
I'm sure I'm leaving something out....lol....but maybe others will add to what I've started.
NearTheSea also had some rough medical problems to deal with....think she's okay now. Hardly ever posts here anymore...but once in a great while you'll find a post from her on the Rev's board. I miss her posts.

Nothing like Linda still complaining about how she was kicked of the OTWA over 9 months ago. The OTWA moved out without her. Can't say the same for Linda.

But I like telling EVERYONE how otwa's crossfire has a HISTORY of removing conservative posters/members.
They can't take all the whining and crying the liberals do TO SILENCE the opposition.
Plus....I wouldn't have mentioned it IF fenix didn't ask. She did....I responded....the rest is YOUR PROBLEM

Come on Linda. You just can't admit that your posts border on hate speeches. An opposing view is one thing, but giving everything YOU oppose a total negative spin is a brick wall that closes any possibility of a mature discussion. That's why people don't put up with you on different boards. Not because your opinion is opposing.

As you might have guessed....I don't agree with your 'take' on what happens.
But I do agree that most liberals label HATE SPEECH as any thing they don't like being said.

You can imagine how VERY quickly THAT attempt failed. All the OLD RT posts, posters from the Ross board, from otwa, from here, almost everywhere just couldn't follow the 'two leaders' desires to speak to one another in a civil manner.
But Doc....and I think without announcing it....has just about met that 'impossible dream'. Those that post there have fun....like we used to here on the RT...many years ago.
They disagree, CIVILY, and are quick becoming a very friendly group...with more and more signing up all the time.
Imo, they're making work...what oddish and blue couldn't....no matter how hard they tried. And also, imo, oddish DID try with all she had.

Yes, helen, we know that NOTHING a liberal ever says is wrong in your mind.
It appears to also be that way in KD's.
Not one word was said to a liberal poster there who THREE TIMES in one way or another called for the assination of our President and VP. [After I left...she did it again...and got a little slap on her hand.
Then we have those vile liberals who were ALWAYS making 'pantie' statements....sexual statements to me . Didn't once see anyone do anything except laugh and join in with them.
Those and so many other violations of their OWN community guidelines were overlooked.
gee I wonder why.

BUT his userid was a woman's name. Now, when he posted here....he had also used different userids at different times. But why a women's name. LOL LOL
Come to find out he was in the middle of a sex change...and wanted to be a women now.

Well said, Kraft. Did it ever occur to you, Linda, that perhaps some of your ilk haven't had the education needed to be able to propose arguments without namecalling? To state your position without the giggling LOLs? To argue a point without dredging up Jane Fonda and Bill Clinton and other old news? State it clearly and concisely and you'll probably get to stay on all the boards you want to post in.

I mentioned earlier I may decide to take the board along on the health issue journey. More so because of the fact that it's going to involve me trying to navigate the healthcare system without insurance than to follow the health issue itself. We have had so many discussions in the past here about healthcare for the uninsured I thought a "real time" look at the process might be interesting. (personally I am hoping for boring, uneventful, and short lived due to lack of neccessity )
