....because it had un-necessary, NON-emergency funding and limitations on our commandor in the field.

He said he hopes to meet with the dems tomorrow to discuss a NEW bill that WILL get immediate funding out to our troops.

And, in print before the President addressed the Nation was this article.

Democrats conceding on war bill

(Washington Times) (5/1) -

Democratic leaders in Congress are slowly backing down from a standoff with the White House over tying war funding to a troop-withdrawal timetable, saying they can use other bills to confront President Bush on Iraq.

It's about time.

Now we'll see if the radical liberals in congress are going to TRY and override the veto.

Looks like they might not....knowing they don't have enough support.

LOL....and especially not enough support IF they can't give all those BRIBES they gave to those to side with them.

Too funny....

here sen. biden was just on Sunday's Meet the Press talking about how our leaders had to be CIVIL when disagreeing. So to set an example for American's to do the same.

LOL LOL LOL LOL

Then, today after heading that President Bush HAD vetoed the bill they sent to him said:

"Biden: We'll Shove Bush Veto Down His Throat"

Now THAT's certainly NOT what I call being civil in disagreement.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,269458,00.html

Maybe he should heed his OWN words for once.

And Meet The Press was VERY interesting too. The interview of sen. biden and all the flip-flops he has taken on this war.

Time after time, Tim Russert showed statements biden had said...which TOTALLY contridict what he's saying now. LOL

Russert challenged him on MANY of his past, WAR SUPPORTING statements.

And the defeatists demo surrender monkeys WILL not have the votes to over ride the veto.

Well.....now that they couldn't get enough support to pretend THEY are the CIC LOL....wonder if OLD biden will be 'shoving the veto bill down the President's throat' as he said he would.

tsk tsk - another liberal OUT OF CONTROL with anger.

It appears, according to the WSJ editorial section today, that this wasn't the FIRST time old biden lost his 'cool'...and threatened to 'shove something down someones throat'.

And they are even THINKING about giving this 'howard dean impersonator' the nomination for president????

Gawd....I hope not.

Deep Throat

The Politico reports on a South Carolina appearance by Sen. Joe Biden:

Biden is asked what he'll do when Bush, as is expected, vetoes the Iraq funding bill.

First, he talks about his son, and the equipment soldiers need--"The idea that we're not building new Humvees with the V-shaped things is just crap. Kids are dying that don't have to die."

And: "Second thing is, "we're going to shove it down his throat."

Remember, this is the Democratic presidential candidate who's supposed to be serious about foreign policy.

Then again, maybe we shouldn't make too much of "shove it down his throat," which seems to be a standard Biden trope.

An article from the July 2006 issue of The American Spectator includes this quote:

"The next Republican that tells me I'm not religious I'm going to shove my rosary beads down their throat," railed Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) while stumping for Democrats in Kentucky.

If Biden gets the nomination, maybe he can pick Chuck Schumer as his running mate. A dagger in the throat!

tsk tsk tsk

No bigdopa,

Bush vetoed your Demomoron pork. The will of the people did not want pork. They want to support our troops.

The message you send bigdopa is, we will support you as long as you surrender.

.
.
.
If it's called common sense, why do so few Demomorons have it?

They'll NEVER grasp that Stonecold. NEVER.

They believe, it sure appears, that the voters were ONLY upset with the republican spending spree....and that they won't feel the EXACT same way with the NEW and first MASSIVE liberal spending spree.

They think they're 'special'.

And voters don't get to decide that congress all of a sudden gets to PLAY 535-36 CIC's either.

Democrats Hold Ground on Iraq Talks
Friday, May 4, 2007 8:53 PM EDT
The Associated Press
By ANNE FLAHERTY

WASHINGTON (AP) — Congressional Democrats have signaled they're not ready to back down in their confrontation with President Bush on Iraq, spurring Republicans to accuse them of causing political gridlock.

Bush and Congress have been discussing a possible compromise on a war spending bill needed to finance combat operations through September. The president demands the money without strings attached and so far has found strong Republican support. But Democrats say Bush eventually will have to accept some conditions on the U.S. commitment in Iraq because of the war's unpopularity among voters.

For the first time, Bush dispatched his top aides to Capitol Hill this week to sit down with Democratic leaders to discuss the war.

"It has taken almost four and a half years, but it appears the president finally is willing to consider what most Americans and members of Congress have long known: we must change course in Iraq and move toward a strategy that will make our country more secure," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in a statement released Friday.

Negotiations are expected to continue early next week. Unclear is whether a compromise could be struck.

Looks like Bushy will do even more FLIP FLOPPING he have been FLIP FLOPPING a lot lately.

How about the Rice talking to Iran officals. FLIP FLOP.
