and the 'LIBERAL" media.....c'mon, let's fight about hair and makeup...but remember if you respond to my post when you said you don't it'll prove you a liar...again

Hordes Of Reporters And Pundits Rush To Trash Romney For $300 In Makeup Fees
By Greg Sargent | bio
...or maybe not.

As you may know by now, the Politico weighed in with some more reporting today on the personal grooming habits of the Presidential candidates, noting in a front-page piece that Mitt Romney's campaign spent $300 on a company that describes itself as "a mobile beauty team for hair, makeup and men's grooming and spa services."

Glenn Greenwald asks a key question: Whether this will be "given anywhere near the coverage and attention" that the media lavished on Edwards' $400 haircut.

Come on, Glenn. Surely you don't have any trouble understanding this one. Yes, both Edwards and Romney are very rich. But there's a simple explanation for why this isn't a story while Edwards' $400 haircut is worthy of repeated mentions in The New York Times and other top papers, wall-to-wall analysis from cable pundits, a full column by Maureen Dowd, and all the other coverage it continues to get.

First, Edwards is trying to draw attention to poverty in America, which automatically makes him guilty of hypocrisy until proven innocent;

Romney isn't doing any such thing. ()

Second, a key Republican talking point about Edwards is that he's a phony and a wuss, while there's no such Dem talking point about Romney. And finally, All-Hallowed and All-Seeing Grand Vizier of the Media Universe Matt Drudge hasn't issued any command for coverage of Romney's makeup fees. Thus, Edwards' haircut is news, and Romney's makeup fees aren't. Really, now. This is not complicated

This may be OT,but it is important that we look well groomed in the public, especially as we get older as mother nature is not so kind on us .
Women should pay more attention to their hair and wear brighter clothes and add jewelry to enhance their looks, and some makeup sure help.
Exercise helps with blood circulation and tone up the body, makes us look better in clothes.

Point taken Hwahwa, especially if you're running for president...unfortunately looks count.

I disagree with "Women should pay more attention to their hair and wear brighter clothes and add jewelry to enhance their looks, and some makeup sure help.
Exercise helps with blood circulation and tone up the body, makes us look better in clothes."

I think ALL people, female AND male should have enough self respect to care about their looks...to a certain extent.

They should also have enough self-confidence and individuality to look they way they choose....personally I think bright clothes and lots of jewelry are garish...hair should be clean and worn anyway you want it.

You're right when it comes to exercise...it's the greatest beauty "secret".....meant for all.

So now, since the dems have accomplished so little, we're focusing on all the candidates and the 'work' they've had done to look better?

And by the way...edwards haircuts cost $1,200.00 in total....NOT just the $400.00 cost of the actual cut. LOL

But let's see....it's been reported that kerry had many botox injections and hillary has been reported to have had much work done to look better. Did her campaign pay for it? I wouldn't know.

But when one looks at her pictures a couple of years ago and now....she's looking MUCH younger. Not normal as a women gets older. Usually just the opposite happens as the aging process takes place.
-----------------------

"[i]Now, we all know that we're not supposed to comment on a female politician's looks, much less dwell on them (even as we are still permitted to write of "paunchy, cigar-chomping" men). But we must make an exception for Mrs. Clinton. If she was never quite the ugly duckling of nastiest jibes, she is certainly a swan today. Her hair is dramatically swept back, and she is trim and radiant. Her face is as smooth as an expensive dinner plate. Tom Junod recently devoted an entire piece in Esquire to Mrs. Clinton's physical appeal: "She has a sexy mouth, I think," it began. The First Lady looks markedly unlike her pictures of even two years ago. Gail Sheehy, a new Hillary biographer, has said, "I've heard from a number of people close to [Mrs. Clinton] that she's had a chin lift, eye tucks, and liposuction on her thighs and behind." Mrs. Clinton has a fabulously skilled makeover team in New York. Word is that Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince Charles's girlfriend, visited the city several weeks ago to consult that same team, in search of a Hillary-like metamorphosis."

===================

But all in all, pretty boy edwards is still the best looking 'woman' running for the WH.

LOL

Since you don't "get it", let's try to explain:

"First, Edwards is trying to draw attention to poverty in America, which automatically makes him guilty of hypocrisy until proven innocent;"

See, it makes a difference when a multi-millionaire "champion of da people" makes flowery speeches about the poor and then spends a month's worth of a family's food money on a haircut.

Romney does not depict himself as Gandhi, so if he wants his dog's food dishes to be silver, it's nobody's business.

Another GREAT point. But then, that's always expected and delivered by desquirrel.

The one who's working to change the 'two Americas', pretty-boy john, isn't setting a good example.

Maybe he can invite a few of those poor neighbors of their's, that elizabeth insults over how they live, and set a good example of how the 'other half' lives. Since they sure know it well. lol Or invite them to live with them.....or give a HUGE percentage of their 'other American lifestyle' to the poor he pretends to want to represent. too funny.

And boy. It's a given the $.75 an hour increase they've just been given is really going to rock their 'poor' world. lol lol lol lol

David Letterman said the same about Hilary last night.
But the pictures of her on campaign trail I saw in the news show a tired old war horse!
Can some one show some better recent photos of her??
Poor Camilia ,National Enquirer featured her on first page zeroing in on all her flaws-her varicose veins, her teeth, her crowfeet, lines across her upper lip!
Looks like she has a breast lift!

""So now, since the dems have accomplished so little, we're focusing on all the candidates and the 'work' they've had done to look better?""'

She then FLIP FLOPS and comes out with:

And by the way...edwards haircuts cost $1,200.00 in total....NOT just the $400.00 cost of the actual cut. LOL ""
