No, I'm not talking about mingopig, but the disasterous flooding in the southeastern part of the state. Houses floating away, fires, some deaths. Here are some photos.

Mother Nature hasn't been very kind to that area, that's for sure. Wow....
It's been said it's the worst suffered there in over 30 years.
When viewing pictures like those....makes one realize how much their lives can change from a single storm.
I know Texas has had more than their share of rain too. And here, if we could, would LOVE to take some of that rain from those who have way too much. One of our lakes here is down 6 FEET from normal.

Crawford, Texas -- A tragic flood this morning destroyed the personal library of President George W. Bush.
The flood began in the presidential bathroom where the books were kept.
Both books have been lost.
A presidential spokesman said the president was devastated, as he had almost finished coloring the second one.
The White House tried to call FEMA, but got no answer.

The sad thing is most of our state is in the worst drought that we have had in over 30 years. Just happened in the one area of the state that really didn't need the rain. Plus today, it's raining in that area again. We need to tell the whether gods to move the rain north about 100 miles where it will do some good.
And as far as logansdunce goes, how about getting off of your lazy azz and helping out for a change? You and mingopig are two peas in a rotten pod.

Typical. You are expecting a democrat to help bail you out. Can you solve your own problems?
Hey rocks for brains, why don't you just go and sing itsy bitsy spider. Perhaps you can dry up all the rain that way. If that doesn't work why don't you call Bush and heck of a job Brownie to help you out. They should be disaster experts by now.

"Typical. You are expecting a democrat to help bail you out. Can you solve your own problems?"

ROFLOL.....No, when help is needed it REQUIRES a Republican to do it correctly.
Just wait...we'll see how differently THIS is handled compared to when the liberals were left to deal with the N.O. disaster.

Their governor has proven HE'S capable of handling what a democrat NEVER could.
Governor's Office
About Governor Tim Pawlenty
TIM PAWLENTY was first elected governor in 2002, with the state facing a $4.5 billion budget deficit—the largest in state history. Just months after Pawlenty took office, the legislature adopted his plan to eliminate the deficit without raising taxes. In 2005, Governor Pawlenty balanced the state budget again without raising taxes. At the end of 2006, it was announced that under Pawlenty’s leadership, Minnesota’s $4.5 billion deficit had been transformed into a $2.2 billion surplus.
Besides bringing Minnesota from historic budget crisis to financial security, Pawlenty fought for and oversaw passage of a dramatic overhaul and improvement of the state's education standards; an $800 million increase in K-12 education spending along with a nation-leading teacher performance pay program; health care reforms that led to a zero percent premium increase in the state insurance program; significant welfare reform; tort liability reform; a range of new government efficiency initiatives; the creation of a nation-leading prescription drug website; and a doubling of the state's ethanol standard to increase use of renewable fuels and reduce dependence on foreign oil.
Pawlenty grew up in South St. Paul, Minnesota. The only child in his family to graduate from college, he attended the University of Minnesota and practiced law in the private sector. His public service career includes serving as a criminal prosecutor, Eagan City Councilmember, and ten-year member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, including four years as House Majority Leader.
Pawlenty serves as Chair of the National Governors Association and on the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, the Achieve Inc. Board of Directors, and the James B. Hunt Jr. Institute Board of Directors. He is Chair of the Midwestern Governors Association and is a former chair of the Governors Ethanol Coalition.

Are you for real? While us Reps are out their cleaning up, you sit and belly ache stating you will bail us out. It's time for you demomorons to put your money where your mouth is. BTW, we are not expecting a bail out. You don't see any of the victims of the flood area standing around holding up signs that say, "Help Us". This area is a strong republican area and rest assured, they are out there helping themselves out first and not expecting others to do it for them like the demomorons in New Orleans.

Now, Stonecold, you know the ONLY way the liberals EVER see as the solution in dealing with ANY issue is to throw money, large amounts of money - other peoples money - after the problem. It's the way their minds have been indoctrinated to think.
It soothes their conscience I believe. And that way THEY don't have to do anything.

Lets see. Minnesota is a Blue state and they couldn't even clean the pigeon @hit off the underside of the bridge supports, which is now what the engineers are saying is one major cause of the supports failing.
Yup, thats how the donleycons help.

That's not really 100% true. A very dense, (in both senses of the word) area of population in Mpls and St. Paul, plus a small area of Duluth which make up much of the population of the state are demomorons. However, the majority of the state is very republican. The last election was won by the demomorons because of how they lied their way in using the Iraq war as leverage. This time around, the polls show that most people are now seeing through the Dems B/S, and the powers will again even out. Don't forget, our Governor is Republican and has been elected the head governor for the entire USA. Also, his very strong leadership is getting our state through three major disasters within 3 weeks of each other.
Once again, it shows the difference between the strong republican base where we in Minnesota pull up our boot straps and get to work in time of crisis and the weakness of Demomorons like in N.O. who stand around holding signs waiting for everyone else to do their work.

Yep I am so glad that a Republican is making sure Iraq is getting back on their feet. Iraq is a mess because Republicans are in control of the situation.
While us Reps are out their cleaning up, you sit and belly ache stating you will bail us out. It's time for you demomorons to put your money where your mouth is. BTW, we are not expecting a bail out.
It was you, rocks for brains that you asked for help. Don't you remember.

Now the moron is trying to compare the little flooding in MN to the floods in N.O. They are not the same. Get a clue.
Lets see. Minnesota is a Blue state and they couldn't even clean the pigeon @hit off the underside of the bridge supports, which is now what the engineers are saying is one major cause of the supports failing
Bear I think you have to much water in your head from all the flooding in your own state. Minnesota is a blue state being led by a "red governor". He has been in office since 2003. He had plenty of time to "clean the pigeon @#*!@ off the underside of bridge supports" during his term in office before the disaster. I suppose you are now going to try and blame this on Clinton.

linduh drools, ""Might as well. The liberals sure have blamed EVERYTHING on THIS President and his administration even though he wasn't responsible. Fair is fair. LOL
Oh but I know, the liberals have TWO set of 'standards'....one for them...another for us. """
I think I agree that bushit isn't very responsible at all!!!! He has a reputation of not taking responsibility like an adult.
It's so funny how that poor old broad thinks pointing out double standards is a defense for the actions and inactions of the bushit administration. She acts like she just discovered double standards....completely ignoring her own

This President will go down in history as one of our best.
This President has fought against terrorism the liberal clintons were too scared to face/deal with.
This President and his tax cuts have done wonders for our economy, job market, etc.
We will see what we will face IF a liberal should ever get into the WH while we are at war with terrorists. We will face MORE of what we did [the FIVE attacks against our Nation] under clinton. They just don't have the guts to take action. They're all talk....NOTHING else. NOTHING.
And this has imo, been one of the MOST honest Presidents we have enjoyed in decades. The socialists want to win...so they can tax us to death, surrender to our enemies and destroy the good economy.
Yes, they have GREAT plans for us....SURRENDER AGAIN to our enemies. tsk tsk tsk Change the laws that have helped capture those arrested as they tried to meet their destructive goals here in our country. Give them all the 'rights' they don't have.....be sure and protect THEM....not America citizens.
Yep...the liberals will help our enemies meet their goals, just as quickly as they possibly can.

"While the democratic party complains about everything THIS President does to protect our Nation": "What would a Democrat president have done at that point?"
"Apparently, the answer is: Sit back and wait for the next terrorist attack."

After suffering near drought conditions all summer, Ohio really got hit. Findlay, where these pics were taken is not far from me.
The streets of Findlay flooded when the Blanchard River spilled over its banks and rose to 7.5 feet above flood stage. It crested at 17.5 feet, nearly tying the record set back in 1913. The area was declared a disaster area by Governor Strickland and President Bush.
Here's Shelby, Ohio:
We went south to camp in Mohican (Loudonville, OH about 75 miles south of Cleveland) this past weekend. I've never seen the Mohican river so high. Of course, canoing was out. The river was really running fast. Fortunately, where we camp sits on high ground. Although it was a bit soggy, it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Linda will have to face reality in January 2008 when the Republicans loose control of the White House.

Boy, Cheryl, those pictures made me cringe. The weather has really been a disaster for so many people this summer. Floods in so many areas, droughts in other areas. Just read today, for those who put stock in the Farmer's Almanac, it predicts a harsh winter with lots of snow, the hottest summer is 100 years and "meteorologic mayhem" in 2008.

The storm that came 10 days after the bridge fell that hammered the area around the fairgrounds and throughout Como Park, through the North End of St. Paul then the Phalen Area of St. Paul.
The damage from that storm is as bad as I have seen since the 1981 tornado.
