Imagine if we saved 3975 American soldiers lives, 175 UK soldier lives, and the remaining 133 lives of "coalition" troops that helped the US attack Iraq. How about preventing over 40,000 injuries to American troops? http://icasualties.org/oif/default.aspx

Imagine if we saved the estimated 655,000 Iraqi civilians who died (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/10/AR2006101001442.html). How many more injured from roadside bombs, shot, beheaded, or died from disease due to lack of safe drinking water? Nobody denies that Sadam Hussein was a monster, but what good came from the war on Iraq? Definately not deposing Iraq of WMD's, or rooting out Al Qaeda that didn't exist in Iraq before we invaded.

Americans pay 12 Billion Dollars a Month for the Iraq war????

When I did the math, it comes up to $40 per American (every boy, girl, teenager, adult, senior in the country) per month, $480 per American per year, $2400 over the course of the last 5 years per person. You want to talk about an economic stimulus package... how about a refund on what each of us coughed up for this backwards war. Imagine if the average family of 4 people had $9600 in their pocket instead of a few hundred bucks?

Now, note... I have not once pointed fingers strictly towards the Bush Administration for these atrocities. I don't just put the blame on the door front of the White House for this disaster, but also at the steps of Congress. I'm not just blaming the Democratic controlled Congress that is in power right now, I'm not just blaming the Republican controlled Congress that was before them. I am not only blaming the Military leaders who continue this fight, or the corporations that benefit financially from this war, skyrocketing gasoline prices, or the condition of our environment... We should blame ourselves for this mess as much as anyone in government. Every single last American who continues to allow this raping & pillaging of the American way of life should wake up. What is going on right now isn't American. It is an erosion of American values, whether they be Pro-Choice or Anti-Abortion, whether they are Drive American or buy Japanese reliability, whether they are send your child to college or join the military, whether you prefer Baseball, Football, Basketball, or Soccer and Hockey, whether you text message rather than dial a number... What is going on right now is destroying American values... the same American values whether you are a liberal or a conservative. Our jobs, our money, our economy, our homes, our security... our entire lives are FOR SALE right now to the highest bidder, and the highest bidder is walking briskly towards fascism where the few corporate powers and government leaders control our daily lives. Wake up everybody... wake up!

Modern warfare is very expensive,I remember the British sent troops to Falkan islands against the Argentinians??,the supply line alone costs one million dollars a day and that was many years ago and it was a no event defending a bunch of sheep on the island.

Anybody with half a brain has no need to "imagine".

Well, the US can't control Iraq.

The war in Iraq certainly did make a base for terrorism ...and all that (American)money ..unaccounted for.... by a fiscally irresponsible administration?????Gee, where did it go?

Can't imagine being an Israeli and don't much care.....I care more for Americans...it's so much more patriotic.

I'm not an idiot but apparently you seem to be a simpleton.

Instability in the Middle East would devastate world economies. Every thing would change as you know it. Prices would rise dramatically as would unemployment. There would be large government cutbacks, especially in all the programs you feel you "deserve". And while you continually harp on military casualties, be advised that someone who dies because he has no medical coverage because he has no job is also DEAD. Babies in unequipped natal centers DIE. Hospitals with no funding for diagnostic equipment, etc, mean people DIE. Cutbacks in police and fire mean people DIE.

Yup, the instability that the world predicted if bushit invaded Iraq has happened...

If the money going to criminals and terrorists in Iraq would stay in America it would certainly help AMERICANS!!!!

Imagine....Being an Israeli.

What's wrong with being an Israeli?

Do you have something against them? What other nationalities do you have problems with?

No one needs to imagine it. It is currently out there.

It was out there before 9/11 in Osama's camps and it is exists now in Iraq since the US invaded Iraq. How many billions has Bush spent funding his war against terror?

Keep living in your fantasy world and imagining if that is your way of coping. The rest of the world is living in reality and doesn't need to imagine like you do.
