My kid and I had a silly discussion of which TV show would outlive the other: Sponge Bob Square Pants (one of his favorites) or Monk (one of mine). We both rushed to our computers for supporting arguments. He trumped mine with in 2007, Time Magazine named Sponge Bob Square Pants as one of the best TV programs of all times. Huh? Although one of the more tolerable of the shows he watches (beats soundless NASA feeds of the space shuttle), I can't put his inane silliness in the same category with Lucy. What do you think the best TV programs of all time are?

My family controls the TeeVee, the TIVO is full all the time, but there are some I like. All seem to be serials. Kyle XY, which my son hooked me on, Lost and Jericho. Other than "news" and the occasional foody show on Food Network, who's got time for it? Not me.

I just switched to Fios intenet, phone and Fios TV. Sometimes it takes more skill than I have to turn the TV on so I just leave it off.
I would like to tell Fios what to do with their Fios TV connection and their damn little box that must be tediously encouraged to sync with our old TV but that would cost me a couple hundred dollars to break the contract and my frugal husband thinks that I should not enjoy the luxury of that revenge.
