Thank you, Profe. This list brings the terrible course America has taken these last 8 years into focus. Although I have never liked Bush or his politics, it is still shocking to read the list of his many disastrous decisions and unconstitutional tactics. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why he won the second election. Being elected to term #1 was understandable (sort of ) but a second term? What were we thinking?

"We" weren't thinking!
I heard about a national poll taken; first, people were asked where they get most of their news. Then they were asked questions about current people and issues. The people who watched Fox news knew the least.

I think things would have been different if the Democrats had a better choice than Kerry. Hopefully, things will change now.

It's good to see Colin Powell who played a major part in promulgating the fear and lies used to justify the Iraq invasion included in the top ten. It will take volumes to document the evil that the Bush administration, assisted by the media has perpetrated on this country and throughout the world. And with a few months left in his administration, it's not over yet.
There are some excellent links throughout that article...my favorite is Media Matters Read their coverage of the outrageous praise of bush by Cris Matthews on the May 2, 2003 edition of Hardball after Bush declared "Mission Accomplished". Misinformation is not limited to Fox News.

I like Chris Matthews generally, but that was over the top. I bet he'd like to have that episode erased and forgotten.
