My cat is acting out again. Besides his constant habit of splashing water all over the kitchen, he has started depositing every movable object he can find into his food dish- toys, sacks, etc.
My son's clothes are easy prey since he often leaves them strewn about - the cat prefers to deposit these in his litter box - socks, underwear. Today we hit a new high (or low). When my son was very young, I got him a a striped terry cloth robe at a consignment shop for the lead role in Joseph's Coat of Many Colors in his Jewish preschool. It puddled a bit on the floor when he wore it and we had to roll up the sleeves several times. He has worn it daily since then, after his shower it serves as both a robe and a towel. Now it is mid-thigh and and the sleeves reach just past the elbows but we have both grown quite attached to it. I could hardly believe it - the cat dragged it to the litter box and neatly used it to entirely cover up the litter.
Are there any cat psychics or cat whisperers who can help explain or give tips to modify his behavior? Yes, I know he needs more attention - don't we all. I pet him when he comes to me, tolerate him crowding me in my chair while I'm working as long as I can, let him lay across my feet until they start to go numb. What will he do when I get a full-time not-working-from-home job?

I loved reading this post, Pixi. Needed a good laugh. I have no advice to give you, but I'm sure others here will.
