Take a look at this thread on Store Board:
http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?threadID=520028090&tstart=0&mod=1223352850093

Looks like Fox is joining in on the smear campaign with gusto and folks are swallowing it hook line and sinker. Don't the democrats have a Karl Rove somewhere? This is disgusting.

I never heard the one about Obama not being a US citizen - that is REALLY bizarre.

Horrible to read. How can there be that many people who hide their bigotry under the cloak of silly smears? They *want* to believe all the smears; it justifies their own mindset.

McCain and Palin will be in Strongsville, OH tomorrow. That's about 15 minutes away from my home. I will be there with my Obama sign waving. Strongsville is a community that usually votes republican. A majority of its citizens are upper middle class. I'd like to see McCain and Palin in downtown Cleveland right on Public Square. They'd never go there except maybe under the cover of the Executive Club where the regular "joe 6-pack" isn't allowed to go. I despise Palin and think she's an insult to women everywhere. She has thrown the woman's movement back 10 or more years.

Edited to add: I forgot to add my closing line. . ."Don't ya know?"

People are so ignorant.

It amazes me some have the brains to go to work.

A poll is not a prediction. It is a snapshot of how people are thinking right now.

Wow. That is scary. Those posts are full of misinformation, lies and stories that would be unbelieveable to anyone with average intelligence. Citing Sean Hannity as a source of accurate information is like asking the fox (no pun intended) to guard the hen house.

Next McCain smear:

Obama fathered several black children...
(OK, I shamelessly copied that from another forum).

Does anyone think if the presidential campaign season was shorter these types of smear tactics would cease or be less?

I think the campaign season is why to long and it gives the candidates to much time to tear apart every single speech and pick the phrases out of them that can be damaging - when it is just one line out of an entire speech.

If the campaign season was shorter, the candidates would have to focus more on the issues and get their messages across.

I am so sick of the commercials! I yearn for the ED, KY and Viagra ones!
