Sara Palin... This would all be funny if?
I invite you to add to my list.
#1 the world were not falling quickly into a DEPRESSION, yes the D word. We all still need to make the house payment, buy food, heating oil (OMG!!!),cable-tv-telephone,medical bills....I could go on.
This is not a joke - you bet it's not. 4 more years of GWB allies and we're all doomed. God forbid McCain won and died... GOD FORBID! She is frighteningly not capable of this position.

I wouldn't worry about it. Obama's gonna tax those rich people. 3 chickens in every pot, free health care, and a new car when you turn 50!

Why should some be denied health care? Those with pre-existing conditions, why shoud they be denied? Why should our elderly not be able to afford their medicines or children go with healthcare?
You are truly ignorant. Free car, chicken. Wow, you ride the short bus.

Sad thing is - I can't think of one single thing about Palin that is funny. She scares the be-jesus out of me and the fact that there are people that really think she is prepared to be President is even more horrifying.

Not only are you mis-informed and spreading out and out lies (and passing them along to your co-workers) but you are dangerous. Don't you realize that anything you post has been proven to be wrong and mis-represented?
Oh, I know you don't care. You are a gossip on the worst level.
Get on the short bus and ride around awhile.
Have you checked your beloved Gallup? It seems that Obama is ahead. What do you attribute that to?
Disgrace to your party.
A poll is not a prediction. It is a snapshot of how people are thinking right now.
As to "proven wrong", I have yet to see anyone point this out.
Your typically formula:
1) Did you see that comment (fill in the blank) made??
2) XXXX is evil, his sister is not nice. He dresses funny.
These endless posts bore me to tears. I'd much rather hear what the statement was and where the errors were. Also w/o "creative additions" to what was actually said.

Squirrel, you just said, "These endless posts bore me to tears. I'd much rather hear what the statement was and where the errors were. Also w/o "creative additions" to what was actually said."
After you said, "I wouldn't worry about it. Obama's gonna tax those rich people. 3 chickens in every pot, free health care, and a new car when you turn 50!"
If you remove your "creative additions", you just said nothing.
...which is why most here ignore your pretentious BS.

Neglus - She scares me, too. She spews one lie after another out of her mouth and people are cheering her on.
Cheryl
Whitman said she and McCain share a philosophy of scaling back the role of government. a point of view partly shaped by her EBay experience. "The EBay model is very Republican in its essence -- it's about making a small number of rules and getting out of the way while not overtaxing the community," she said.

Squirrel,
Obama is ahead in every poll and electoral votes, so I am assuming that most people are in favor of having health care. More voters will probably turn out to vote in this election than many previous ones. And if Obama is elected then obviously, that is what the majority of people want.
Chew your cud on that one. LOL
Helenjw,
Yes, when you take out his lies, there is no content to his posts. Poor baby is bored.

Squirrel, I'm kind of new here at the RT (but a long-time member over at eBay Outlook). At first I thought you were a troll, but today I changed my mind. I'm sorry to make this personal.
I followed your link to the Objectivist page. That explains a lot. My goodness, are you still involved in that?
I read the Ayn Rand books while a sophomore in high school. I was an insufferable twit for a good year after that, full of myself, proud of my superiority, and disdainful of those who didn't measure up to MY standards. Luckily, I started having sex, made friends, and discovered that friendships, both romantic and otherwise, are a much better way to deal with the adolescent insecurity that arises from being a small being in a large world.
Wake up. Smell the coffee. You're not convincing anyone but (perhaps) yourself and a small coterie of small-minded people that you've gotten past the slights of adolescence.

I'm in favor of people giving me a check for $1m if it's tax free.
I really rely on the judgment of people who define a murdering thug as a "Chicago educator" or how someone who works on the same committee for YEARS is "someone in the neighborhood". LOL
"You are entitled to something, the politicians say, simply because it exists and you want or need it -- period. You are entitled to be given it by the government. Where does the government get it from? What does the government have to do to private citizens -- to their individual rights -- to their real rights -- in order to carry out the promise of showering free services on the people?"

Well, I have seen many posts, including my own, which addressed your statements, but you seem to ignore them.
Obama was on the Woods committee from 1993 to 2002. Ayers joined in 1999. They did not skip hand in hand and join together. There were many other people on that committee of varying political persuasions. The Annenberg Challenge was a 5 year, $5o million project to study education reform. In Chicago, if you are looking at education reform, William Ayers was involved, as he is considered an expert in this (sorry this may upset you.) Walter Annenberg was a Republican with strong ties to Reagan and Bush 41. Does the fact that Ayers was involved mean Annenberg was a terrorist too?
If I were you, I would be worrying about Sarah Palin becoming VP and possibly President and not about Ayers and his 40-year-old terrorist activities. The former is the more dangerous situation.

Regarding Obama's health plan, it is not Socialized Medicine. Citizens will be able to obtain health insurance at affordable premiums. Some regulation of insurers will be put in place so that cost of insurance is not out of reach. We all know that some regulation is needed as the temptation to rake in money is too much. (see Wall Street mess.)
There will be a tax credit for small businesses so that they can afford health insurance. The plan will decrease the cost of medicine by allowing importation of drugs from other countries, once they are deemed safe.
There are many other facets of this plan available if you want to read the facts. No where is it said that all health insurance will be free to anyone, nor will it be mandatory. It will be there at an affordable rate for anyone who wants it.
Socialized Medicine is one of those catch phrases used by opponents as a scare tactic. This plan is not even close to Socialized Medicine.

... and frankly, if it WERE socialized medicine, I for one wouldn't run in fright and hide under my bed (oops, that's where the Commies are hiding, right?).
This country has privatized profits but socialized losses for a long time. And the Republicans, while talking free markets and such, are busy lining up at the trough with their friends. I say this as a lucky SOB whose healthcare plan is generous, and whose household income is at a level that will pay much more under Obama. And RIGHTFULLY so.
I'm a million miles from Warren Buffett in terms of net worth, but he has often said that it is wrong that he should pay a smaller percentage of his income in taxes than the lady who cleans out his trash pail. I agree, and would pay more gladly if it went to health care for people who can't afford it, education, infrastructure, etc., anything but more stupid wars.

Yes, Deichen, he is really a rare guy. There are very few businessmen that I consider heroes, but he is one (Richard Branson is another).
I don't usually own individual stocks; Berkshire Hathaway is an exception.
Warren Buffett has managed to make loads of money while keeping his humanity.

profe51,
I am sorry...you are of course, right. Cows are much smarter. I bottle fed one at my grandparents farm one summer and they kept her for 13 years. Could not stand to let go of her.

Squirrel, In case you are bored with trying to connect Obama to a domestic terrorist try this:
GOP presidential nominee John McCain has past connections to a private group that supplied aid to right-wing death squads seeking to overthrow the elected government of Nicaragua in the Iran-Contra affair. In addition, this group was cited by the Anti- Defamation League as anti-semitic.
He was a member of the US Council for World Freedom in the '80's, which was formed by John Singlaub. Remember that name?

Warren lives a humble life and gives to those in need. Obama said tonight in the debate, that Buffet supports him and that adds to his humbleness.

"Squirrel, In case you are bored with trying to connect Obama to a domestic terrorist try this: "
I'm not trying to "connect" anything.
I'm saying if you believe someone who hosts an "introducing Barak Obama" party is "Bill, who?"
and that worked on the same committee for years with a claimed "somebody in the neighborhood", they you are a simpleton.
You do not have to "try" to connect them, they are connected.

Squirrel,
Obama has his biggest lead so far in the race, how do you feel? Will you move to another country, when we have a Democrat back in office? Will Rush Limbaugh go with you?

"I'm saying if you believe someone who hosts an "introducing Barak Obama" party is "Bill, who?"
And I'm saying, what do you think of McCain's affiliation?
Obama had some contact with Ayers 40 years after his terrorist activities. He is not his best friend, mentor or fellow terrorist. There are no terrorist activities, associated with Ayers, going on now or for the past 40 years. Obama condemned these activities, which occurred when Obama was 8 years old.
McCain, on the other hand, was a member of the US Council for World Freedom DURING their muderous, anti-semitic activities. I'm sure you don't see it, but there is a big difference.
