My sister and I were talking about, what if the Republicans use their deep and large bag of dirty tricks to steal this election like they did in 2000.Our thoughts are that there would be a revolution in this country an honest to God revolt! I will be glad when this is over and I can put my nerves to bed. What do ya'll think?

I fear that, too, and I fear even more an crazy guy with a gun if Obama wins.

Karl Rove and Dick Cheney are fearless sneaks, happy to play tricks.

The way Palin and her ilk are using fear to drive their audiences to a frenzy, I worry about a guy with a gun BEFORE the election. It is very irresponsible of McCain not to put a stop to the craziness before someone gets hurt. He should fire the whole bunch of them, bring in Romney or Lieberman as his VP and try to resurrect his dignity.

Ladies your concerns are mine as well. I cannot remember a time in my life that I have been so nervous about an election. First of all it has been going on for literally years. We are all exhausted. I cannot believe that after all Rove and co. put John McCain through in South Carolina,he has given his campaign let alone his honor over to these snakes in the grass. Guess this says something about the will he has to "win". The choice of Sarah Palin says much about his discretion and management style,Rove and co say a lot about his ethics.

I'm worried, too - Obama's taking a few days off to visit his sick Grandmother. I hope it doesn't hurt his momentum but maybe it will quiet the rage caused by the McCain/Palin machine. It's hard to call a man a terrorist or a socialist when he's visiting his sick granny.

Pixi: Oh, they'll think of some way to turn this into negative campaigning, I'm sure. I heard tonight, by the way, that Michelle O. will continue Barack's appearances until he comes back.

Whatever happens with his sick grandmother, Obama will come through this an even stronger man than he already is.

Since McCain's mother is old, McCain should think that this could very well happen in his own life any day now. I'm sure he will show a public face of concern and compassion but behind the scenes he will be plotting with others to take full advantage of the situation. Then he will send the non-stop, shrill, Harpy Palin, to attack while her base roars their approval. She may be clueless about world affairs or the history of her own country and government but she's ruthless and she smells power.

Whack pack members NEVER reply to the question posed, but only reply with absurdities.

In this case the answer would be "silly squirrel, 'Bama never said "Willie".

250 Swift boaters say one thing, 3 another.

1) The 250 are "liars".
2) The Swift Boat group was started by a Republican.

repeat 1000 times on different topics, political or not.

So Obama's college roomies "just happen to be" radical Muslims. I know I checked off the "radical Muslim" box on my residence app.

This constant Obama was ordained by Jesus stuff about an empty suit who was INVENTED by a powerful black Chicago machine politician would be boring by itself, but is doubly so in contrast to an a decorated veteran from a family with a history of service cast as Satan.

Obama had Muslim roommates in college. So what. My Dr. is a Muslim. The guy I buy my gas from is Muslim. Look around. We are a diverse society. As far as I know, there is no law against being Muslim. If you have any proof that they were radical, let me hear it.

There were more than 3 VV who praised Kerry, and they were under his actual command. The Swift Boaters were not. There is no actual evidence that anything they said was true.

Have you been checked out for paranoia? If not, I think it is a good idea.

My daughter (the Peace Corps Volunteer) is living with a Muslim family in one of the 'stans. Her father (my husband) is not a US citizen. Are you saying that my brilliant (4.0 Magna cum laude) daughter can not be President if she wants to be?

Deichen,

"I think maybe it might be too many drugs in the 60's, huh, squirrel?" Most of us have come out okay from the 60s drug era. I think squirrel was a couple of nuts shy of a winter horde before he began.

Cash, you are probably right! I was a young girl in the 60's and lived in Colorado. I saw plenty of weirdness! I lived my teens in the 70's.

My teens were in the 70s also. I went to college in Washington, DC and got to witness many demonstrations. I was more into school than politics, but one scientific fact that I quickly discovered is that tear gas sticks to brick buildings for a long time; it would be weeks after a demonstration before my eyes stopped watering every time I entered a campus building.

My parents had taught me always to be suspicious of mass movements. While I was against the Vietnam war and generally agreed with the views of most of the protesters, I just wasn't a "joiner."

My teens were in the 1970's as well. I was fortunate in that my parents instilled values in me that included embracing people of all races. That was a lot for them considering how they were raised. I'm forever grateful to my mother and father for giving me that gift. Having friends and relationships with people of all ethnicities and races has enriched my life beyond words.

Cheryl
Whitman said she and McCain share a philosophy of scaling back the role of government. a point of view partly shaped by her EBay experience. "The EBay model is very Republican in its essence -- it's about making a small number of rules and getting out of the way while not overtaxing the community," she said.

Aw, I thought you and I were the same age for some reason Cash! I started college in 1969 and survived tear gas and student strikes and the days of of drugs, sex and rock and roll more or less in one piece.

I suspect Squirrel suffers from an over indulgence in Fox TV, talk radio and Rush Limbaugh.

Neglus,

We should be so lucky as to have your daughter as President some day! You must be so proud of her. Pat yourself on the back too. You raised her.

I notice you delete the adjective "radical" and then pretend to be very clever. It doesn't work.

I am not trying to be clever. Apparently, you are reading selectively. If you read the whole post I said "If you have any proof that they were radical, let me hear it."

I said Muslim roommates because nowhere in researching this did I find the word "radical" to describe these roommates. If you have proof, I'd be glad to hear it. You can't make a statement like that and expect people to believe it, just because you said it.

Sure he can. After all, somebody else (probably in a forwarded email) made the statement and he believed it.

Don't forget that for people of this mindset, any muslim is a radical muslim.
