McCain's campaign jumped on this story like white on rice--before it was even investigated. As it turns out that was a big mistake.

As soon as I noticed the backwards "B", I knew it was a hoax. Kind of like what you'd do if you were looking in a mirror and cutting yourself, don't you think?

Hi Cheryl,You are right, it did seem suspicious from the get-go. From what I have heard, the police had a hard time believing the story, even before she admitted it was a hoax.

It did seem weird, and I wasn't convinced, but you would get a backwards (and upside down) B if it was put in by someone who was at her head facing her feet. Since a B is vertically symmetrical, you wouldn't notice. However, since she stated that he sat on her chest and held her arms down with his knees, it didn't add up.
