Step right up Ladies and Gents.. and place your bets..
I no longer rely on polls, they can be so misleading..
I no longer rely on voting machines, they can be manipulated.
I no longer trust anything that comes out of a Politicians mouth, they lie.
The News Media is all biased.
And let's not forget the unlucky bugger who does win will inherit a huge pile of poop to try to clean up in 4 years... which can't be done.. it's a lose lose situation.
But don't let this Debbie Downer spoil the fun.. who's it going to be? Are you sure?

Obama is going to win, of course! People want a change from the policies and downhill slide America has been on in the last 8 years.

Howdy, to all the Motley Crew!
Good to see some familiar old faces still around! Well.. that didn't come out exactly how I meant it to.. lol.. How's everyone holding up?
I think I am a little gun shy and not so quick to proclaim who I think will win, not after the last elections where the polls all had the Democrats winning up until the numbers were counted.. if you know what I mean. So I'll sit and wait and hope for the best.
Canadian eh Niel umm ok... sounds better than sitting here in the swamps of Mississippi, watching out for snakes and alligators and lying politicians, eh!
Where's Mingo/Crow? I see in my magic mirror, Helen, Profe, Bear, Krafty, Kiara, and Cheryl.. sure miss old Doublefugger and Libra... hee hee.. Have you all been good Doobies? Linda is going strong over at Kalins board fighting the Libs with every ounce of strength she has and she has lots of helpers there too.
Me? I've got a permanent disfigured ass from sitting on the fence too long and actually stuck somewhere in the middle of both parties.. but I always vote Democrat just to piss some of my dearest friends off.

hwahwa: What in particular don't you like about Nancy Pelosi? When I compare her with Sarah Palin, Nancy comes out smelling like a rose. Look at all the experience Nancy has had.

hwahwa,
Do you think that the outcome of repos will be any less with a president who believes that the middle class will benefit from a trickle down effect by keeping the rich, richer. It hasn't worked so far.
I posted this in the Michael Moore topic but thought maybe you'd see it if it was posted twice.

roadsmith,
Maybe it is this?
On March 21, 2008, Pelosi criticized the People's Republic of China for its handling of the unrest in Tibet and called on "freedom-loving people" worldwide to denounce China.[29] She was quoted as saying, "The situation in Tibet is a challenge to the conscience of the world", while addressing a crowd of thousands of Tibetans in Dharamsala, India.[29] She however did not call for a boycott of the 2008 Summer Olympics that were held in Beijing.[30]

What makes you think I dont like Pelosi, she is third in line as the House speaker.I admire her surgeon, whoever worked on her did a great job!
Repo men have a job to do ,it has nothing to do with who is in the White house unless the White house owns the titles of the cars, trucks, suv to be repossessed .
Tax cut for the rich creates jobs for real estate brokers, yacht builders and gourmet chefs, pastic surgeon, nannies, valets, chaufeurs, private detectives, jeweler, auctioneers, artists and antique dealers, body guards and mistresses.Oh car dealers ,hairdressers, masseurs, travel agents, caterers and what else!

The ex general comptroller of the US estimates the burden from the current disaster at $430K per household. I think you'll discover they are going to change the definition of "rich" to what the Democrats have always had it at.
PS. Don't expect any auctions at the Hyannisport complex.

$430K per household is not bad, soon hyperinflation kicks in and that $430k aint worth much!

By then on the job training will be over and diploma will be handed out.

McJane, I highly respect your position and am overcome by the support the Clintons have given Obama in this election. On the animal-rights issue alone, with McCain's advanced age, do you really want helicopter-hunting Palin in charge of our country? For many years, I voted third party. The stakes didn't seem as high as they do now. An Obama/Biden presidency is more palatable than a McCain/Palin presidency. Those are the choices.

McJane - I was for Hillary as well. However, it's so important to keep the republicans out of office before more harm can be done, that even thinking Hillary right now should not be an option. My father planned on writing her in. Thankfully, I talked him out of it.
I was watching MSNBC this morning and Palin was talking, spinning her usual rhetoric. There was more propaganda spin in that one speech than I've seen in the whole election. What is wrong with her? There's something fundamentally wrong with that woman. She's a poster child for what is wrong with the republican party.
I predict Obama as well. I'm casting my vote tomorrow. I don't mind if I'll have to stand in line.
This election sends a powerful message to today's youth. It sends the message that, yes, you can be president when you grown up even if you're African American or Muslim or a part of any of the other ethnic groups in this country. Like my granddaughter said, "even if you're a girl". I got a kick out of that one.

Whitman said she and McCain share a philosophy of scaling back the role of government. a point of view partly shaped by her EBay experience. "The EBay model is very Republican in its essence -- it's about making a small number of rules and getting out of the way while not overtaxing the community," she said.

Cheryl, I caught about 2 minutes of Palin on tv this morning. I thought I was shockproof, but she was horrible; lie after lie. She is desperate to win.

roadsmith - She was in Lakewood, OH. That's on the westside of Cleveland. I used to live there. There are probably equal number of Obama and McCain signs there. It depends on where you go. It's not a large city. Closer to the lake is where the very wealthy live. Nearer to Cleveland the people are considerably poorer. Odd place for her to go considering NE Ohio is largely democrat.
