Just for the sake of arguement let's just say it really happened and also so's you can get a picture of it................Algore is laying in bed while his parents are at his bedside and they are lullabying him to sleep with a union song. Just before he falls off to sleep his Daddy tells him "get some sleep now son for when you grow up you will become a great inventor and all great inventors need their sleep" Oh yeah 1 more thing Algore is 27 years old at the time.

I missed the debates but caught the recap on the news tonight. I find it hard to believe but reports are that both candidates made misleading statements. I'm soooooo shocked!

I agree that both candidates did beat a dead horse so to speak on the medicare issues, however, I thought that Algore was especially childish in the way that he did not want to stop talking/debating certain issues when his alloted time was up.
What I found particularly interesting was how many times that Algore stated that only the middle class income citizens will receive a tax cut with his plan while G.W. stated that all tax paying citizens will receive a tax cut regardless of their income level. I agree with G.W., it's the only fair way to hand out a tax cut and finally G.W. had to spell it out for Algore by saying that his (Algore's) plan says some of you will receive a tax cut and some of you wont, while my plan says that no tax paying citizen will be excluded, if a citizen is paying taxes then they deserve a tax cut.
toomanycomics i've never seen magnolia but if you want to see a movie with an end that will haunt you then I suggest that you rent Der Blau Angel. It's a german movie with english subtitles and it is in black and white. It stars Marlene Dietrich and it is my understanding that this is the movie that launched her movie career in the USA and that it was the last movie she made in germany.
