Classic, come on. Nothing killed capitalism more than the greediness of Bush and his cohorts. We can't even discuss capitalism's future until we recover from this debacle he has thrown us into. Unless your wealth is in the $100,000,000+ range, you were exploited and are hurting like the rest of us. You just like rubbing yourself against the backside of Bush's cronies, hoping some of their #$%@ will rub off.

Sometimes when your down, somebody posts something like the thing "Bush got us into" and you can get a hearty laugh.

BTW, California is out of rich people too. They might still be treating illegals in the hospitals but just about everything else is getting chopped. Maybe some rich people in Fl will lend them a few bucks.

And do these guys really know how to run a bank!!! Just print money when you need it.

thebigkahoouna, it's been more than a day now and you're still small. Maybe you really do need that rejuvenating elixir that Helen mentioned.

Kiara knows.

Is that the pool behind the mansion that is surrounded by an expansive pagoda with a rose garden walkway that slopes down to your yachts by the sea? Maybe you've been drinking too much coolaid at other places and need some real refreshment here where that which will enhance your ego and your size can be found in beautiful abundance.

We havent been in it for 2 years. We had to have the liner replaced to the tune of $5900.Its a 20,000 gallon inground pool, but damn!I'd take a picture of it,but its closed now and not much to look it.Speaking of pics,I think you'll recognize this place

Yes, I do!

We live about 35 miles from Baltimore where one of my children attended school so I am familiar with that area.

One weekend we cruised from Annapolis and anchored near Baltimore's Inner Harbor which is not too far from the Orioles Stadium in your photo.

Good photo!

The rich people have been hurt too. Bush's interest has always been in the super-rich, which I'm sure all of us wannabe but doubt that any of us are. While you are basking in your pool and watching your retirement income dwindle, consider who has benefited from your loss.

thebigkahoouna, don't tell me you're the old fart in that pic? I remember years ago on AW when you were like that Chippendale guy with the black hat. What happened? Did chat boards and years of listening to SWMNBN do that to you? Ha ha ha

But he still has that twinkle in his eye! And who else can deliver such unexpected twists of humor to a serious comment?

As you can see, his lovely wife wasn't affected by SWMNBN.

BTW...I suspect that SWMNBN is providing talking points for Glen Beck.

Yea well Im gonna be 65 next March, which is 10 years older then when my dad died,so I guess I cant complain. My white hair is messy because I had a ball cap on and didnt bother to comb it.
I also gained 11 lbs since May 1 when I stopped smoking which does not make me a happy camper.I also had lyme disease when that photo was taken on Aug 16th.I never knew I had it,I had no symptoms at all.It showed up on the annual blood tests I have taken every July. When I was taken the anti-biotics for the lyme disease,I had to stay out of the sun,or I would burn to a crisp...this also forced us to cancel our 3 days when were going to spend at Ocean City on the way back.Other then that,Im the same old jolly #*!@ pain in the ass I always was.

speaking of a jolly #*!@ pain the ass, wheres crowfart been lately??

I hate to ask this but what does SWMNBN mean?

Kiara this may be more to your liking. This is a photo I use on my facebook of me and my much better half.

thebigkahoouna, Hey! I was just spinning you along and you still look good so don't get all defensive on me. Sorry you've had lyme disease, etc but first thing I noticed was the twinkle, just like Helen said and most of us stay the same on the inside anyways.

You want to hear my problems? We just dealt with a wedding, a funeral, a family reunion, Thanksgiving and a birthday party plus had to host a dinner for a whole crowd plus some hyper rugrats that were bouncing off the walls and we had to do it all in one weekend!

My partner looks all beat up and I feel sorry for him but this morning I looked in the mirror and was just as beautiful as ever.......... never aged a bit........ ha ha ha

And you know who I sometimes miss posting here?

Twelvepole! No matter what, he was fun to have here at times - even when he had coffins ready for Helen, Kraft and me. I hope he found an Island girl and that he's happy wherever he may be.

Yes, Kiara, Twelvepole was always fun. If it's the same fellow, he''s posting here Maybe we taught him a thing or two. Hahaha!

BK,

SWMNBN, "She Who Must Not Be Named", refers to someone who was banned from this board. Since she can't respond we politely omit her user ID. Aren't we sweet? SWMBO, She Who Must Be Obeyed, refers to Profe's wife.

Crowfarm/Mingotree left several months ago with the warning that she would return just as soon as she found her "rubber manure hat".

Without Linda to kick around, she lost her reason to be.

Yea but usually those are the only times the WHOLE family gets together.

yea Linda and I post there also.Yes he has changed somewhat, although I really dont go into the political threads that much.I dont like talking about politics or religion that much.

Welcome back Classic. You're one of the few Republican sympathizers to post here who appears to have a life and sense of humor beyond politics. Sure, it was fun to yank 12Pole and SWMNBN's chains, but neither of them ever came off as being actually human. Their opinions were absolutely predictable and lockstep. Bear let his guard down once in a great while and I found he could hold an actual conversation without calling names or copy/pasting drivel, at least when the subject was guns, an interest we share. With the rest of that bunch, it got old, boring, SOS all the time. I don't miss them.

Helen, I never go to those other sites. Vendio is a business and hopefully protects our personal info and I don't know who any of those others are. A few that posted here seemed to have personal vendettas at times if someone disagreed with them and if they're running their own sites or chosen as mods on them, there's no telling how far they would go.

Sure, it was fun to yank 12Pole and SWMNBN's chains, but neither of them ever came off as being actually human.

Profe, I'll agree with your comment about SWMNBN because she seemed to care for no one but herself, but 12Pole was human at times. Perhaps you had to be female to see it in him.

Kiara, I am not a member of that board either. I occassionally read a few auction related boards including the one that I mentioned because I am interested in the interaction and dynamics between various individuals and groups and how they either fail or succeed.

I agree that in general, "moderators" of some other boards are not as professional or as trustworthy as the Vendio moderators.

Actually, the "twelvepole" who used to post here, from my viewpoint, seldom revealed that sympathetic, "human" characteristic that you mention, Kiara. Maybe his black and white thinking was just a game. Who knows?

For example, he called me Baghdad Helen and a traitor who should be shot, outrageously based on the fact that I opposed the Iraq war and had some compassion for the innocent people who were destroyed in that country. His black and white thinking led him to believe that since I had compassion for the people of Iraq that I therefore had no patriotism or concern for our own troops who were being used as fodder for the Bush administration's aggression.

This thread is typical.
