. . . Casey Jacobs. Besides being what I think is the most authentic musician in the bunch, and extremely talented, I've heard that he helps others with their presentation.

AND. . . . he's from our mountain resort town of Idyllwild CA! He is a graduate of the Idyllwild Arts Academy, which takes students by audition only from all over the world. 200 students tops. Wonderful school (high school level) that has ESL classes for the many from Japan, China, Europe, etc.

We're all pulling for him, signs up all over town. If you don't have a favorite yet, please consider Casey!

Votefortheworst has Paul Macdonald. So after the Pia crime, I'm setting most company computers to auto vote for him.

Squirrel: Do what you want, but it seems so counter-productive to vote for the worst, just to make a point. We're dealing with people's lives and careers here. I do understand your anger over the Pia thing, but . . . .

I'm glad to see that Casey Abrams is still in the group. I guess vote-for-the-worst didn't vote often enough.

I was surprised that Casey was eliminated last night.

Absolutely couldn't stand him or his schtick. His only claim to fame was he was at least better than Paul Macdonald. Can't take Jacob's blubbery wailing either.

I think the teeny girls will cut Jacob's throat next.

Then Haley, Alaina, Scottie, and James wins.

I was just so sorry to see Casey leave the show. I'm sure he was better than either of the girls.

I don't watch American Idol.

Is something wrong with me?

Profe: If something is wrong with you, something is also wrong with me. This last go-round is the first time I've ever watched that show, and I did only because of our local boy. Now that he's out of the picture, I'm out of watching American Idol!

I also don't watch Dancing with the Stars and other "talent" shows.

I've got enough reality around here as it is. Sure don't need to see anyone else's make believe pathos.

Who will watch the finals of American Idol? Any thoughts as to who will win?

Last I heard, the two girls and a boy were left in the running. I don't care for any of them particularly, but the betting among my friends is that one of the girls (the taller one) will win.

There are only two remaining. Scotty (17) and Ailena (16). They are both from the South - Georgia and North Carolina. Both are super conservative, religious, etc. They appear to be great kids, and both of them will most likely have great careers.

So ... expect a lot of Country Music.

Dialidol.com uses computers to test for busy signals on the lines and then come up with the popularity list. Scotty should win by more than 2 to 1.

I hope you're right. Lauren is OK, but has a long way to go to mature enough to survive. And she sounds like a lot of other female country/pop singers. Nothing signature about her & very forgettable at this age. Maybe later.

Scotty seems to have it together. Calm, confident (tho not overly), comfortable interacting with everyone of any level of fame, acts mature for his age, and can really sing well. I really loved the new song he did last night. Even if he doesn't win, he'll have a big recording contract waiting for him.

I must say, though, that the guy who SHOULD have won (James Durbin) is already gone. He gave a professional, polished performance from Show 1. And, like Scotty, has a great voice. I'd bet that, like Adam Lambert who also didn't win, he will have a very successful future. I don't even remember the name of the guy who beat him-he was totally forgettable.

Oh! And in my opinion, the last 3 standing should have been Casey, Scotty, and James. All unique entertainers and true musicians with great voices. I think the girls mad it just to have girls still in it.

Scotty is cute as a button and talented but I agree James Durbin should have won.

Haley Reinhart is very talented but certainly was lacking the "likeability factor". Lauren Alaina also talented but not quite mature enough yet but her song to her Mother had me and my daughter reaching for the Kleenex box!

I am too old for heavy metal type music but actually enjoyed everything James sang. The pure joy on his face when he finished each song tugged at this aging heart.

He does remind me of my last American Idol crush...Adam Lambert.
