This latest (love child by a household staff member) isn't quite the surprise we've had from others in public life, in recent years. Maria HAD to know what she was getting when she married Arnold S. The Kennedy women appear, over the years, to pretty much expect their men to stray, don't they? Very sad.
I'm even surprised that she's initiated their separation after hearing the news shortly after he left office. The other wives stood by their men.

Most men stray so why should Arnold be different?
Women think they are the only woman in town,so they think their men would not stray.
Men have their needs,Edwards 's wife had cancer and probably not able to fullfill his needs.
