Bissel Spot Lifter Cordless Scrubber! It works great on cat yak and the other nameless stuff that gets drug in on the kids shoes! We waited for a month to get one on sale (with a raincheck) from the local Homeplace with the extra $5 off coupon. Paid $31 for it, and it's well worth the money. You can keep it filled with solution, ready to go. I hear it runs 5-10 minutes. I just cleaned up 4 old spots from our beige carpet, and it worked great.
Now all I have to do is find a good place to plug it in and keep it charged and ready to go, but easy to get at when needed.

Yup. Actually any of the Bissell cleaners are great. I've got both the Big and the Little Green Clean Machines. Love 'em.

Shadowcat: When I plugged in my 1500 watt transformer, my floor went dark! And I had lugged that thing up 5 flights!!!!!
