Since it appears that many folks who voted for Nader, are responsible for Gore not winning this election.
Government chese, remember that fine delectable item? Ketchup as a vegetable on school lunch menues. I hope you folk are real happy with the outcome, as dismal as it will undoubtley get.
As the Bush folk dine on steak, eat your fried bologna sandwich. Poor people are an after thought, or did you forget that high principal of the GOP? Bush will appoint Goldsmith to his cabinet, which means no more public access to government, plus further harassment of ideas that don't have business interests making economic gains.
Welcome to the world, of Dubya, but remember, you made it happen.

Yes, I am happy. Thank you so much for asking. And I have had some of that Government cheese, it wasn't very good.

I live in Florida, voted for Nader, and even now, knowing the outcome, I would vote the exact same way. It was exciting to fill in the lil' bubble next to the name of a person whose ideals I agree with wholeheartedly.
As for "Poor people are an after thought"...remember which administration gave us welfare reform...?

Jamesoblivion: Goldsmith, is Steve Goldsmith, former GOP mayor (and county prosecutor) of Indianapolis, who served as a "compassionate conservative" adviser to Bush before the election. Goldsmith is real big on privatizing most aspects of government, selling city contracts to private contractors (his business friend interests) and eliminating thousands of union jobs. He also is no friend of Freedom of Information access laws and sought several times to kill negative stories about his administrations.
He will be a Bush cabinet appointee.
Ken, I am not fond of fried bologna, or government cheese. I ate enough of that crap as a poor college student who struggled financially during the Reagan "voodoo economic" years.

Jeesh...another liberal doom & gloomer. Shouldn't you be out scaring senior citizens today about the social security checks they're not going to get anymore?
And please don't tell me they're going to make those poor people work for their welfare checks!! Next thing you know they'll be making the homeless pay for their shopping carts.
And how dare you criticize anyone for voting for their conscience. This didn't seem to be such a big issue when Perot took the vote away from Bush, Sr. back in '92. Only goes to show that you need to win the race yourself.
Other local news here in So. California says there are still over 1 million absentee ballots to be counted from San Diego & Orange Counties. While it will not change the state race, it could definitely affect the Nationwide Popular vote.

Yeah, the Dems use 'Mediscare' and the Republicans use 'Militaryscare'. Bottom line, both use the old bogieman BS in their own way.

I think mebbe they should pass out some government exlax with all that government cheese.
Fried balogna is nothin compared to fried spam sammiches.
Another thing you can do with spam is cut it into large cubes and boil it with sliced fresh (FRESH, I say NOT pickled) jalapenos and soy sauce with just a drop of sesame oil. Serve with rice and one of those big soft leaf lettuces. Roll it up into a burrito looking thing and mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
