On November 11th only 6 people found their way to the " To All Veterans" thread and said thank you.
There is no shortage of political threads in the RT and the fact that we have the political freedoms that we do or even that we can speak freely on these issues is all the more reason to say thank you to our veterans.
Each and every one of use including veterans owes a great debt of gratitude to the men and women who have served this country, some of who died face down in the mud so that we may enjoy the freedom that we have today.
A great many people have given so much and it seems that so few are truly grateful.
Do we not realize the magnitude of what our veterans have done for us or do we just not care?
As far as I am concerned every day is Veterans day and it is never to late to say "Thank You".

Well, digitalman, there were some thanks in the "We are doomed thread" as well as in the "Proud to be an American" thread.
That said, the debt of gratitude goes beyond mere words, but that is all I can offer.
Thanks to all the Veterans for the sacrifices made on my behalf.

Being the daughter of a vet, the sister of a vet, and the wife of a vet..I'd like to say THANK YOU too! Not just for protecting me, but for watching their backs too!

I participated in both the "To All Veterans" & "Proud to be an American" threads by thanking our servicemen/women, but hey, three times a charm, so
Having no relatives that served in the military, I was not truly aware of the sacrifices made by these nobel men & women, UNTIL the Gulf War....Probably because at that time I was an adult w children who watched breathlessly (with the rest of the country) as the events unfolded....We saw up close & personal (well, as up close as TV allows) those ready to give their lives so that folks like my little family could be safe & sound...From that time forward, I have felt the utmost thanx & respect for these people & their families!.....May God protect & keep you all!
