I just sold my first used book on Amazon and shipped it today - and it's my first sale on the internet. Feels good but scary!
I know that many Ebay sellers notify us buyers when they ship our item. Do you recommend doing that with the books too?
I included a small packing slip with the book, with all the sale data on it and asking that the buyer let me know when the book arrives. I also informed him that I'm new at this and asked that he tell if the book seemed packed well and if I represented the book well on Amazon.
However, now I'm hearing that book rate shouldn't include written messages or invoices etc. Is this your experience? How can we ship something with no documentation in it???

Congrats roadsmith!
3 words: cut and paste ...I have cut and paste schpeels for winner notification, and for 'I received payment, left pos fb, and package is on it's way'. In my winner notification at the bottom it says "I ship twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays, and immediately upon arrival of payment. When you see feedback from me, your package is on it's way." That way if I get to busy to backtrack with the 2nd schpeel, it's no biggie.
Good luck!
