Hi everyone. Looking for some advice here. I need to create some brochures and I wonder if there are any programs that people here can suggest. I have an older Mac. My version of word has a brochures template, but I wonder if there is anything better out there. Someone suggested pagemaker. Has anyone had any expreience with brochures and can offer some sound advice?

I used to create my catalogs using Microsoft Publisher. I found it easy to use. Text and graphics are created in frames e.g. graphics frames, text frames, etc. You connect/link text frames so that if there is not space for all the text in one frame, the text would automatically flow into the linked frame which could be on the same page or another page.
I am not sure if there is a version of Microsoft Publisher for the Mac.
Someone else told me the same thing. I have microsoft office for the Mac (98) but it does not have publisher in there. Perhaps it's only for the PC version.

You should be able to accomplish what you want with your version of Word. I also use Publisher '97 for most of my desk-top-publishing needs as it is very easy to use. There are a couple of updated versions, but my experience is that '97 is the easiest one to use.
You can also just set your paper on landscape and set up your brochure yourself without using a template.
