How many of you who have figured this out already, please raise your hands!

Q. Why would an obvious moron like Dan Quayle have been concidered for the GOP candidate this year?

A. Because with a moron sitting at the helm, the officeof the president is easier to control from behind the scenes (like during Ronald Reagan's administration).

Q. If Dan Quayle was so well qulified for the position, how come he didn't get to be in George Jr's place right now?

A. Dan Quayle opened his mouth on too many occasions in front of reporters. (email me at [email protected] for a long list of Dan Quayle quotes. Too funny!). Even republican voters visiby shivered at the idea of him being in charge.

So, who's the next patsy?

Anyway, it's obvious to most people that George Jr. not only didn't wish to become president, but also didn't want t be in politics to begin with. However, his father - George Sr. insisted. Got him off booze and drugs and some other things which never "came out" during the presidential race, married him off, and beat him with a stick whenever he whinned. They put Dick Cheney in there because Jr was so unconvincing and so reminded the voters of Dan Quayle. Dick didn't want the job either, but he took it for "personal reasons". Hmmm.

Well, when Dick Cheney had his recent heart attack, the reporters cornered Jr at the ranch. Jr was quoted as sayoing that Cheney never had a heart attack. It's obvious that Jr is being kept out of the loop -- already. The sad thing is, I honestly think that Jr is a decent sort of fellow who would rather socialize with his friends than run a nation.

edited to add:

note: RR was not a moron, he had Altzheimer's Disease. The GOP admitted last year that they new this back when RR was head of the Actor's Guild and knew how bad he suffered back then.

This country has had a sad history of mediocre men as Presidents. We seem to prefer weak and unsubstantial "leaders" as long as they seem to personable and regular folks. If you look at our popular culture we denigrate intellectuals as nerds and eggheads while we worship the all-American regular guy.
Humanity I love; it's people I can't stand
