Just received an email from a friend who asked for the name of the man in the Road Runner cartoon who wears a large Mexican Hat, can't see his eyes & has a moustach.
Anyone know his name, I don't even remember him.

I think it is Speedy Gonzales. I found this on a trivia site:
>>
There sure was! It came out in 1965 and was called "The Wild
Chase". The Road Runner and Speedy were having a race to see
who was the fastest, naturally Wile was there persuing his old
nemesis but so was Sylvester to chase Speedy. Eventually Wile &
Sylvester team up to help each other, to no avail!>>>

Don't know if the other guy has a name or not......

the description sounds like Yosemite Sam to me too....but......I don't remember any other characters in Roadrunner except for the occasional appearance of Speedy.
Yosemite Sam starred with Bugs Bunny and did you know he won an oscar?:
"Whether playing a buccaneer, Arabian knight or the roughest, toughest, meanest, old prospector west of the Pecos, Yosemite Sam's slapstick physical humor always sets his audiences laughing. This rootin', tootin', six gun shootin', varmit-huntin' wild man of the west believes in his own innate superiority and charges his way into one misadventure after another -- and as loudly as possible. The only thing shorter than the fuse on his temper is Yosemite Sam himself and this walking keg of dynamite is always ready for action.
From his ten gallon hat to his fire red mustache, Yosemite Sam is the most flamboyant of all Bugs Bunny's adversaries. But the funniest thing about Yosemite Sam is that he has absolutely no sense of humor which makes him the perfect foil, or fool, for Bugs Bunny."

Possibly a "guest shot" from another network? One time only appearance?...did the guy have any lines, or was he just an extra?

I will email her & ask her for more information. Will be back when I get an answer. I thought it was The Frito Bandito, but I guess he was just in a commercial.
