I hope I can explain this well enough for someone to figure it out. I'm trying to remember the name for those thingys that....hmm how to put this....
You see one picture when holding it still then you actually see a "motion" picture if you move it around.
Anyone have a clue what this is called(or even what I'm talking about)???
I believe these were mainly cheap generic little party favors, toys, etc.

edited to add - wrong thing - You mean one that you just roll and change the angle of view and it changes. There are two kinds a hologram like on your Visa card and back in the 50's a picture with little plastic lenses covering it - they made post cards with those little lenses in a sheet on them. I don't know what that was called.

before holograms there was something called diffraction grating. i once had a pair of cufflinks like this that appeared to be rotating.

They were referred to as flickers, tilters, wiggle pictures, groovy movies, tilt cards and technically as lenticulars.
Many were made by the Optigraphics Corporation who used the trademarked term "Magic Motion" to describe the optical effect.
