While you're out there crusading for the demolition of that legal theory that there is a wall between Church and State youo may want to concider the full impact of what you are doing. Please realize that the one and only reason why churches are not taxed is because of that seperation of church and state. You remove that wall between church and state and it won't be church telling government what to do and what laws to pass - nope! It'll be the other way around, with Big Government regulating church doings. Won't that be fun? And when the church programs start to get taxpayer money ofr thier "charity programs", remeber that ALL taxpayer money comes with strings attached to it! And the IRS will have a fieldday doing first-time audits throughout the nation ... ask your pastor, priest, or minister how they'd enjoy that!
So, the next time that you gather for an anti-Seperation rally, think about just what you really are doing!

There are churches that own farm land and the congregation members use it. All of my life I thought our neighboring farmers of the Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) were "rich" owning their land that they farmed. Turns out that the church owns the land...
Another thing is that a few weeks after Bush was sworn in a Baptist church was raided because they owed taxes. One of the male leaders felt betrayed by Bush. Yeah right.
In England the church told the government what to do. Look at Henry VIII and his wives history...
The powers of the European Inquisition set the government laws based on their interpretation of the Holy Bible. Since dentistry was a "sin" it was unlawful punishable by death.
In my opinion that is why the founding fathers wanted a seperation of church and state, even though it is not spelled out in the US Constitution it is was intended.
During the very beginnings of the USA male homosexuals were executed by the "Christian" government just because they were gay.

"The powers of the European Inquisition set the government laws based on their interpretation of the Holy Bible. Since dentistry was a "sin" it was unlawful punishable by death"
"During the very beginnings of the USA male homosexuals were executed by the "Christian" government just because they were gay"
Would it be too much to ask you to support the above two statements with verifiable documentation?

Is this any of your business? My dialogue is with Borillar not you. Quite stalking me.
Ignore button on.
BTW I do have the documentation to back up what I say on AW and elsewhere. Practicing double standards? You don't submit your sources when I and others ask and here you are demanding. If you want respect you must earn it.

bobbysoxer,
Actually, krs always documents his statements.
You have made some amazing remarks about the
church. I was also wondering about your source.
I would like to read it also.
edited to remove, not because I doubt you.

Someone needs to instruct bobbysoxer that this is a public discussion forum, not a private conversation venue.
Her response to my valid question is irresponsible and accusatory. I find it quite objectionable.
What do you mean it's not my business, bobby soxer?
What do you mean by "quit stalking me"?

Who is stalking whom?
Why don't you avoid my posts as well?
Ignore button on.
BTW you have a habit of asking questions to set people up to attack them. Old tricks....
I still refuse to answer your questions and inquiries particularly when you don't respond to other peeps inquiries and the underhanded tactic is so obvious. Double standard? When you see one you see the other.

You have accused me of using underhanded tactics. This is very
offensive.
Nobody is stalking you. I simply clicked on Borillar's thread
to read it. Because of your past behavior, running to the moderator
etc. I do avoid your threads and also your posts. But in this
case, you were unjustifiably attacking and accusing krs, one of the
most outstanding members of RT.
I believe that you owe an apology to krs and I don't give a dam
what you think about me.

Your comments directed to both krs and HJW are insulting and I am issuing an informal warning. Procedure for discussion and appeal of this moderation decision are outlined in the Community Guidelines.
I would strongly suggest if you haven't already utilised the "ignore" feature, that you do so. To continue in this current manner may jeopardise your posting privileges.

Back to the topic...I just cannot imagine the
disruption that this faith based program will
cause. All the churches and non churches
will be in a major funding war.
And as you indicated, keeping track of this
money will be a challenge to the churches.
Is the money taxable? ...I don't know..
Maybe you are right...The IRS will be there, looking over the "church books" and I don't
mean the Bible.
