Anyone know where Hart Cottage Quilts is? It's been a long time since I've seen her on AW. I thought for sure she would put pictures on Executive Girl's Feline thread.
Where are you HCQ? I sure miss your posts.

Someone was rude with her and she responded - the moderator warned everyone to tone it down. She felt she should not have been warned as she was just responding.
Kind of like in school when someone punches you and you wail all over him. When the teacher comes she don't care who started it.
So you might as well really clean his clock since it is a no win anyway.

She didn't leave over being warned, she left because the comments made to her by someone else were extremely nasty and vulgar. The moderators either didn't understand the comments, or decided to ignore them. Even after they were made aware of the meaning of the comments, they didn't make it right.
Some of us felt that individual bias on lifestyles was allowed to effect the handling of the matter. An apology would have gone a long way I think. Moderation, like Justice, should be blind. In this case, it was just ignorant.

HCQ is one intelligent lady with a world of knowledge that we could all benefit from.

I have seen many inconsistencies between the moderators' decisions and actions. Human beings who are judges, police officers, moderators and so on are biased by nature however it is a matter of recognizing it and overcoming it as humanly possible and to have a check and balance approach on decisions so one can go up the "chain of command."

The speed at which a moderator read this thread and posted here is some proof that any mention of HCQ gets their attention. The situation was a bad one, and was handled badly too, and everyone knows it.
Why else would they jump on this thread with all the posting going on in EO?

No adult could have possibly missed the import of those noxious statements. I'm still ashamed I said nothing when I read that vile crap.

Well, I didn't know what the comment meant when it was originally made or else I would have posted.
I also didn't realize HCQ was upset about it at the time, because her response to that post was as follows:
No apology necessary, michelle. Your delay gave us a chance to have a good laugh over it here at Hart Cottage and to share it with friends.
Personally, I find pottymouth a high compliment. It's a clear indication the person resorting to it realizes he can't intelligently argue the actual matter at hand.

In my opinion meya is entitled to her opinion rather or not others disagree which in my opinion includes moderators.
Moderators need to have a thick skin in order to do their jobs.
