Since it IS an ebay topic, but one she didn't understand, if I brought it up here and she discovered it was an ebay topic in the RT, would it be locked here too?
I don't post much in the RT, so I'm not sure how that works...

LOL@Stephen Hawking
It started as an arcade video game called Wing Commander. The Japanese programmer did a very poor job with the translation, and it came out being very funny instead of scary. The phrase has been slowly becoming an 'internet legend, ala the dancing baby, etc... along with the video that someone created to go with it...
Of course, the relationship to ebay is fairly apparent to most anyone who uses it and keeps current on ebay issues.

Well there was Morse Code thread here a few months ago that got zapped when a new moderator came on duty (PatTaylor seemed to let it stand for a while but I suspect that he knew Morse Code).
Come to think of it, KRS participated in that thread....

the megalomaniacal allegory is an urban legend type stretch to an ebay connection. i have posted on the MOD's board thread if you are interested. it is cool(?) to make far-fetched connections and then chastise others for not "getting" it!

toyranch- i meant "others " figuratively. isn't she supposed to lock threads on the EO if they have no obvious relevance to ebay? and there is no OBVIOUS relevance except to those who view ANY internet reference to megalomania as ebay-related!!!!! you must understand that there are those who might not so quickly jump to the same conclusion. we might even be in the great majority although that doesn't make us right. but it certainly doesn't make us wrong!!!!
