How's the weather coming along? I'm hearing very bad predictions. Keep us updated so we can send in supplies. I'll fire up the snowmobile!

As of 3:45 PM EST time on Sunday March 4,

I would describe the storm as "Nuttin' Honey"

How ever that will change. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for this area.

Same here in Mass. The forcasters can't make up their minds whether it's a blizzard or a nor'easter...icy mix or snow...8" or 2 feet... I'm on the S.E. coast.

I swear, around here the only time they can figure out the weather is AFTER the storm.

It has just started snowing here in upstate/western NY. Not looking at all forward to the storm that's on it's way...

bootsnana...grocery store...arghhh. Today, my sweetie reminded me he's the best husband in the world. He did the shopping... He hates shopping.

Making a huge pot of stew, for when the power goes out...it always does.

Xardon, I have an idea! Want to race off to the east with me and get stranded? Or are you already there?

Aloha from Hawaii. It's rough here, too. I think I saw a rain cloud.

When driving back to PA from an antiques show in Va last evening between 5:30-7:30, the traffic was unusually heavy.

I suppose everyone was out running the errands they would have normally done today.
You know...stocking up on milk, bread and TP.

As it is, the forecast was revised from Sunday and Monday getting the brunt of the storm to Monday and Tuesday.

It is sleeting here now, and the local weather is calling for 12-16 inches of snow. But, we'll see.

Looks like my Yorkie won't be keeping her appointment at the "beauty shop" tomorrow.

My dear friends, don't hate me because I'm tropical. I SAID I feel guilty. Of course I meant because I swiped the pics from a surf site.

I'm telling you I have a very difficult life. We sometimes argue for hours over which beach to go to. And, you wouldn't believe the price of sunscreen!

Anyway, to show my support for all my frozen friends, I'm going to wear my sweater today. If I can find where I stored it.

Seriously, though, you guys be careful. My thoughts and aloha are with you.

Thanks femme. With MY life (for explanation, see my thread at http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=28&thread=67361) I can either laugh & have fun or climb in a tower and start shooting. Since my husband refuses to tell me the combination of the gun safe, I choose to laugh & have fun.

My sincere thanks to all of you for letting me kid around with you. It's a nice break from the daily drudgery.

It's laying the snow pretty good here in PA, near State College (Penn State). It can snow all it wants (not that I like it but..) as long as my mail gets here tomorrow and I can get to the bank and the postoffice I'll be okay.

I've got a kid doing a "snow snow snow" happy dance around my house. Kind of like the movie "Snow Day".

Hi looney2ns! I'm in Clifton Springs - about 1/2 an hour from Rochester. I remember November - I was very thankful we did not get hit as hard as Buffalo! We didn't get half of what they got.

Every school morning I have to watch my cousin's 2 kids from 5:30am to 8:15 when they get on the bus... so when they get a snow day I get a snow day too! So pray for a snow day cause I wanna sleep in!!!! lol

misscandle- my apologies, you are so right - wow, you REALLY DO have it rough!! (And I wish I had it as rough as you do!!!!) Since you have it so rough - you wanna trade??????

If any of you guys absolutely MUST drive in this weather, please be very careful... my postal clerk's husband was killed 2 days ago - he lost control of his car on the icy roads and slammed into an oncoming delivery truck. The accident happened right around the corner from me, they had the road closed for 2 hours. It was very, very sad. He had 2 young children also.

New York City here - a very light snow started about an hour or so ago. But that stopped pretty quickly so I guess that was another false alarm. I personally hope to get enough feet of snow to block the apartment building doors & windows for a week - I think it's the ONLY way I can finally quit smoking

Long Island checkin' in....we got the essentials (cigs & Diet Pepsi)...picked up Grandma yesterday, so she wouldn't have to be alone (and 25+ miles away) when the storm hit...Three VERY HAPPY kids dancing around the house - school for tomorrow is cancelled already!!!...And not one flake to be seen!!!....Personally, I'm hopin' for a foot or two....But snow is like sex, ya never know how many inches you're gonna get or how long it will last!!!..

Be careful to all us east coasters (& you folks in CA who, I see from the Weather Channel are expected to have a wicked rain on the coast/snow in the mountains storm!)....Remember, DON'T go out unless you absolutely have to!....The Post Office will be there on Wednesday & customers will just have to understand!!....

Who has had ENOUGH of winter & is wonderin' if misscandle would provide a room for a maid who would cook/clean/pack eBay packages/made PO runs/whatever for a chance to live in her paradise!!!!
