The script for this week's FEAR has been posted on the internet. Of course I had to read it!
Here is the dare:
You are in a haunted inn. A woman was murdered there 2 hours after her wedding as she knelt near her new husband by her priest. Her room was locked immediately after the murder with her things still inside as she left them. The year was 1972.
Your dare, should you accept, is to go into the room at night, cover your face with her make-up, go to the bathtub that is still full of water from that fateful night, reach into the water and pull the plug to empty the water and retain the key to the money.
Would you do it for $5,000?
By the way, this episode will air on MTV Sunday night at 8 PM.

I do not know how to make a link here but feel free to cut and paste to go directly to the script:
http://www.angelfire.com/biz/soundsrus/script.html
Just what did they do to Veronica to make her mad enough to post her copy of the script? AND how much will she get for it on eBay?
lol .....

If there was any water left in the bathtub (evaporation does occur)--it sure would be scummy

MrsSanta: I've watched FEAR before on MTV. It was right around Halloween. They were in a prison once, and an insane asylum once. My reply to your question would be the same as my reply to any of the challenges they have shown: WHEN PIGS FLY!!!! I'm not sure I can even watch it! It's scary!!

Just to go on the record - I WOULD NOT do this dare. That make up was her personal property.

No problem, so long as her makeup accentuated my eyes.

I don't see the sense of this. Old makeup and water that has by some miracle stayed in a tub for nearly 30 years don't sound all that scary.

I think putting on 30 yo makeup would be scary enough. Can you imagine how bad that stuff would be by now?
KRS, dear, you might want to slap on some brow liner...after you pluck those pesky strays.

I'd do it!!
However, you'd have to come up with a LOT more than 5 grand for me to see Krs first thing in the morning!

You're sure right about that, fuzzer. It'd take a lot more than that to get me anywhere where you COULD see me in the morning.

Sounds like an easy $5,000 to me. Are we allowed plastic gloves before putting a hand in that water, if there is any.Is this program really supposed to be scary?

oh oh oh ooohhh! I'm laughing so hard at those two pics that the dog came in to comfort me, heeeeheheheeeeeeeee! He's awful worried ahhaaaa oh gosh, THE EXPRESSION IN THOSE EYES! gasp, HEEH! Oh, great. Now I have a 'laughing-too-hard-headache'.
I would reach in the tub, I don't care if her remains were in there still. I don't like the idea of the makeup..... but hey. Anytime you go in Nordstroms the 'girls' come running at you for a make-over and use the same swabs and brushes and tubes of lipstick on everyone. eeeewwwwwwwwwwww! Aakkk! Can't deal with that. At least on a dead woman's makeup the germs can't possibly live that long (can they?)

Sure Enough!!!!!
The only episode of Fear I've seen was about the prison. I think I would have had a problem with "the hole" challenge.
I wish I had cable to see the other episodes.
I love eerie stuff.
Speakin about prisons. In June I'll be going to an overnighter at the old Mansfield Reformatory in Ohio. Its a special night for Haunted House workers only. I've seen pictures of the place on its website. Looks very creepy. Its going to be a interesting night!

Cyanide - are you in Ohio? I'm in NW Ohio. It would be SO COOL to tour Mansfield. Boy, if any prison is haunted it would be that one. That, and the old Ohio Penetentiary. I have a cousin (the black sheep of the family) who did time in Mansfield back in 1972 at the age of 18 for "breaking and entering" (someone stole his stereo and he broke into the guy's house to get it back). He came out of there after a year and a half really messed up, and has never been "right" since then. He has been living off Social Security ever since.
Be sure and let us know how it goes, ok?

Muriel,
Yes, I live in Cleveland. I'll be taking a camera when I go to the prison. I believe they have regular tours of the place. Let me look for the website address.
Here it is:

Cyanide: Well - I pulled up the website and started looking at the pictures. One picture showed a "ghost" in the shower area of the Reformatory. It said that if you download the picture, and blow it up, you can even see a face. So I downloaded the picture, went to my "Picture Perfect" program to blow it up. Then my computer locked up. So then I shut down, and got back in, and when I came to Auction Watch, something weird happened. You know how when you Log In, your name is already there, and you just type in your password? Well, my name was gone. That's NEVER happened. THEN, I get to the Round Table, and it shows EVERYTHING on there as "new", like I haven't read any posts in the last ten days. Is that not bizarre? That has never happened -- NEVER. So now I'm all goosey.
