Look for a way to CLOSE THE SESSION If you leave it open to add more songs to it, you can not play it on your car stero or a regular cd player.

AND, make sure u burnt them as copies, NOT trying to copy mp3's from your puter...they won't play on a reg CD.

I think you have to convert mp3s to wav files before burning them onto cd.

Most software programs that come with new CD burners automatically convert from MP3s to .wav files. If yours doesn't do that, you might consider getting the 4.0 version of EASY CD CREATOR. I use it because it is much easier to use than the software that came with my burner. I have burned scads of CDs since I got it (& not a single "coaster" in the lot ) with absolutely no problems-- and all play in my car & home stereos. In fact, I am burning a CD as I type this. It is a bit pricey--I got mine on sale for $79 but it is usually $99--but well worth it, IMO

I have Easy CD Creator 4 I can burn cds and I can play them on my computer but I can't play them on my big stero. Do I need CD-R or CD-RW cds?

CD-R!!!! CD-RW (rewriteables) really don't play well on stereos & should be used in your computer only.
And stick with a name brand--you can get incredible deals on the off-market CD blanks, but you do get what you pay for

Yep, cd-rw's won't play in stereos. Use good quality cd'rs, and you might want to use the Disc at Once option in CD Creator. You will be less likely to have trouble burning because the laser stays on instead of turning off and on between tracks.

Usually you get either EZ CD Creator 4 or Nero 5 with a Burner, If you buy a kit. If not, I don't know where you are getting $70 - $99. I get either one for $29.95 plus $8 shipping.

Nero came with my CD burner (TDK VeloCD) & it's a pain in the butt. As for EZ CD Creator 4, I haven't seen it *anywhere*--even online--for $29.95. Perhaps older versions can be gotten that cheaply, but the *full* 4.0 version goes for the prices I mentioned.

Is there any CD-R that you can use over & over?

No. By their nature CD-R's are a one-time use deal. Only RWs can be re-recorded on.
