krs, when I click on the link a registration page comes up...I don't want to register with NYT...what is the topic?

It's worthwile to register. Even if you don't agree politically, there are a lot of great articles that you won't find elsewhere.
Here's a helpful hint that everyone should know already, don't enter any of your real information, including email address. Set up a dummy yahoo or hotmail account for such a purpose.

There's no need for all of that caution. All they've ever sent is a daily headline report, and I haven't detected any spam that I could say is attributable to being registered with them.

I'm sure that the NYT's has a whole lot more, but the Seattle Times, has all the politics you need, even on the front page ......
