WOW!
OK..Rerun Wee Ones is out since I guess it is around other areas..kinda cute though.
Now is there any 'artists' -'creative types'
'graphic designers' who have nothing better to do than to help a stranger on the internet? ...
Also..how/where could I order those plastic bags and get a logo on it?
Any ideas on 'catchy' ways to get attention from people passing by?
Any 'flyer' ideas?
Hmmm...my head is spinning
WHEW! I go and sign the lease tommorrow..and sign up for utilities...and order my phone..
and get a city license...and...and...
Carole who wonders what I'm think I'm doing at my age????(50..but don't tell anyone!).

Not paranoid anywhere else but here!

I am so glad and honored that you chose AW as a sounding board and as a way to glean ideas for you new business. Happy days happy days! I even participated in one of those threads.
However, you seemed to have rebounded quite nicely from a whole host of problems you were experiencing about a month ago. Care to divulge how those issues were resolved? Or how those problems no longer cause you to open a used child's clothing store?
This is not a slam, I am just, curious.

I don't think there is anything actually in the UA that requires anyone to have any ideas of their own or express them. Anymore than anyone is required to participate in a discussion if they have nothing to offer.
Don't like something someone has to say? The "ignore" feature is always at your disposal....

YEP..it's called a 'second wind'...seems I was simply depressed, which caused me to think I was sick and tired all the time.
My Doctor said the greatest thing to happen to me was to have 2 of my 4 grandbabies live with me.
I didn't know I was still so alive..it is WONDERFUL.
I have learned to 'Let go and Let God'..to not dwell on things I can't change.
My daughter is back mentally and emotionally and will be bringing her 4 boys to a new home within the month.
Things are DEFINATELY looking up!
Thank you so much for asking and sharing

Thank you for stating it so elegantly.
Unfortunately I do NOT have these kind of creative ideas that AW message board people are so generous and willing to share.
I am so touched at their generousity and hope to be able to help others in areas I am creative. (Anyone need a poem??? )
Actually Baduizm said he/she wasn't slamming me and then proceeded to do so in the very next post.
I certainly don't know what I've done to offend you Baduizm..I'm truly sorry if I have.

Hi Carole!
I believe you can order those plastic bags with your name on them at www.fetpak.com or www.nebs.com - Through Nebs you can get your logo on just about anything. If you just want plain plastic bags you can get them at a Sam's Club or BJ's Club (if you have them in your area).
To attract attention to your store I would suggest making signs of fluorescent cardboard and/or balloons. They always seem to attract attention!
Starting a new business is so exciting! Best of luck to you!

I have an idea for a logo but I am leaving for work - will do it later for you. It is two tops - like sweaters angled toward each other with the wrists crossed in the middle to suggest an X and of different patterns.
It would fit on a business card OK also. The outer arms would be different to add visual interest so it is not TOO symetrical. no body in the garmet at all.
Edited to add: When you use others skills it is called delegating. Effective executives know that is the way to go. If you thing you can only use your ideas and abilities you are limited. If you can get it for free - well wow good for you!!

I've got an idea---but I'll just have to describe it as I am not a graphic artist.
Have the silouette of a child --very simple so it could be a boy or a girl and inside that have a smaller silouette of another child --

Carole, I'm excited for you -- that's great that you're just going for it like this! I really admire that. I'd be petrified to open my own business, and I have a lot of respect for those who can do it.
Sorry I don't have any logo ideas, but I did want to say congratulations.

WOW!
Please keep the ideas coming! Can't wait to actually 'see' some.
Your ideas are so much better than mine.
I was simply thinking of 3 balloons with a word in each of them (Twice is Nice) ...
This is so much fun! I hope you all are enjoying it as much as I am

Carole, I am so happy for you. I have a friend that is good at thinking of logo's and such. I will ask her to bounce it around in her head and see what she can come up with.

Hi Carole!
My hubby is a commercial artist who specializes in logos (tee shirt designs, etc) ... I will run it past him.
My best wishes go out to you!

Hi!
I'm new to the boards, but I am guessing that you are going to be opening a resale shop? Have you tried the Too Good to be Threw website? They are an excellent resource.
http://www.tgtbt.com/index.html
They have message boards and more information about where to buy products, marketing and display tips, fliers etc.
