I have just received an email from mtnmama's daughter, Tracy. She is extremely ill.

Her daughter will check this thread for any messages that folks might like to leave for her.

Text below.....

Hello

This is Lynn's daughter, just going through her mail. Please be advised she
had a major heart attack a week ago Friday and was taken to the hospital by
ambulance that morning. We spent the weekend there at ICU and then she was
transferred to Atlanta for a cardiac cath to determine the damage. She coded
on the cath table as her ventricular pump collapsed when the doctor tried to
push the baloon around a very large blockage. She had to undergo major bypass
surgery and has just tonight arrived home (they kept her over a day because
she couldn't get weaned from oxygen) She's pretty weak and cant sit too long
or talk too much and has a shoebox full of heart meds. She won't be working
anymore out of the house. I will let her know you're asking for her.

A very good friend had a quintuple bypass right around Xmas of 1999. He had a rough time and was in the hospital for quite a while. At first, they didn't know if he'd make it.

The good news is, within a couple of months he was walking, riding a bike, lost a bunch of weight, quit smoking, felt great...and was as ornery as ever!

So, mtnmama, even though I know you feel lousy now...don't be discouraged. You'll feel better soon....

Like so many others told of their relatives my Dad had a quad bypass and although the recover was a pain to get through as he is always antsy to get things DONE he made a good recovery and was able to become quite active again. Even went on to golf - without which it would not have been true living to hear him tell it. Don't lose sight that it will get better.

mtnmama you are in my thoughts and prayers. My dear Uncle had this same thing in 1997 and made a full recovery and strange to say, even healthier than before because now he eats better and exercises more!! You can do it too!
Best,
Kim

Hi mtnmama too young to be going through this, but they can do so much for the heart, if they catch it in time. I am sure with rest and diet you will be as good as new again. Take care of yourself. I know I lost touch with you but my prayers go with you.Time to pamper yourself and get well.Zelda

MtnMama ~

My thoughts are with you. Please know that you will get increasingly well each day and in a few short months you will feel better than you have in many years.
