I HAVE BEEN OUT OF TOWN - CHECK THIS OUT! THIS IS A DIRECT QUOTE (MINUS THE NAMES) FROM A RECENT YAHOO CUSTOMER - -
Hi --------, You might have noticed I haven`t left you a feedback. It`s
because you didn`t leave me one. The buyer finishes the transaction
first. If the seller is happy with how quickly the buyer paid, they
should leave a feedback then as there is nothing more for the buyer to
do. After the buyer receives their goods they should leave the buyer
feedback. My policy is if I no gettie, I no leavie!! After 40 days I
discard the info from the auction, and that`s that. But thanks for the
smooth transaction anyway! ~ Enjoy!! ~~~~~~ E---

Thank you very much for your email. Just this morning I was reconsidering my policy of waiting to leave feedback based upon the entire transaction (after all feedback IS transaction related). But your email reminded me that there are too many unreasonable bidders for me to take that route. You have helped me understand that my policy is sound and for that I'm very grateful. Good luck in your future ebaY dealings.

I really haven't had any genuinely evil customers, but I did have a competitor email me and pretend she was an interested buyer who wanted to know 'how do you make those widgets?'. I recognized the email address (talk about dumb---you'd think she would at least write from a different email than from her Ebay ID). I wrote her a real sweet email back saying, oh goodness, I do believe I recognize that name, oh yes, I've seen your auctions before, nice to meet a fellow seller, and by the way, no, I won't be telling you 'how i make those'.

I, too, haven't had any rude customers. But last year I received an email that the sender meant for a bidder of mine but accidently sent it to me. It stated that he had a much nicer copy of the book in question & suggested that my bidder would want to buy that one instead--and offline so there'd be no eBay fees!
Brother! I forwarded the email to Safeharbor & informed the would-be bottomfeeder of that fact & told him what I thought of him, his ethics, and his business practices.
