I have a '79 Camaro I've put alot of time and money in to restore.....I'm very proud of this car. I was at a shop yesterday(only one other car in the lot)and a guy pulls up right next to me....I just knew he was too close but I'm hoping he has enough common sense to watch his door--he gets out and sure enough BAM!
Luckily he just knicked the paint......I suppose it's not worth turning into his insurance since I can get a bottle of touch-up painted mixed.
There was a time when people steered clear of cars like this(they were to admire NOT touch)......What happened to those days(and common sense)??????

Sorry...needed to vent.

'79 camaro doors are heavier than what they make now. I think I would have returned the favor in spades.

If I return the favor I get alot more damage to fix. Could have returned it with my foot!

There IS a reason car keys were made with those pointy ends!!

People are amazing. I remember sitting outside of a fastfood place in my car, reading a book & eating my lunch. A woman pulled in next to me in a van and, when she got out, *slammed* her door into the side of my car (the whole car rocked back & forth from the force!). I got out and went around to look--fortunately I was driving a '65 Sport Fury at the time & it had stood up to the abuse quite well, so I just looked at her and said "next time, please be more careful." She went into the fast food place & I went back to my lunch. I was still there about 20 minutes later when she came storming out of the place, charged up to my car and snarled: "I'm sorry--but you didn't have to be *nasty* about it, you know" before hopping into her van and screeching away. Simply amazing...
