Even one more Bush thread is distressing enough, but a double post of the same Bush thread? That's just cruel.

LOL! It's true. Bush thinks his "tax cut" will solve all of our woes. He actually said that his "tax cut" will help Californian's pay their energy bills. I'm not making that up. That fool actually said it.

Guess that would be $1,500 more in their pockets to help pay those high energy costs, wouldn't it?

Whose pockets you talkin about, JL? Oh right, the oil companies of course. Nothing like a little double dipping, eh?

"He actually said that his "tax cut" will help Californian's pay their energy bills"-KatyD
If everybody pays less in taxes, then that would leave them more money to pay the higher energy costs. Seems logical enough.

Well by your logic JL, it would make better sense just to give the money straight to the oil companies. Why do the extra paperwork? LOLOLOL!

You won't have to worry about driving your tax cut away! A large percentage has already been burnt up heating your home.

I'm with you, I'm just going to pretend that everything is his fault. It makes it easier for me not to deal with reality.
Reality can be so disturbing sometimes.

There was a multi-millionaire on one of the business shows the other day commenting on the Bush tax cut.
He said he didn't really need the extra $300,000 to $400,000 his accountant said he would get.
He went on to say that his bracket didn't really need a tax cut at all, and that the feds should funnel all the cuts into the middle and lower income brackets.
Even more interesting, he said that giving the money to the middle and lower income brackets would do more for the economy, and that people like himself would end up with the money anyway.

"that people like himself would end up with the money anyway".
True for consumer provider company millionaires, but not for research and industry service companies like Halliburton Corp (does anyone really believe that Cheney left?) which provide non consumer services.
The whole tax cut thingy is just politickin'--it don't mean nothing. A smokescreen.

Mostly a smokescreen, yes. But I would still rather have the money in my pocket to spend or not to spend. After all, I decide how much to drive and whether or not to car pool, but I don't decide how much the IRS will take out of my check before I ever see it.
