Jeb Bush had to resist his brother's plan to grant oil drilling leases off the coast of Florida or he would be in deep water come reelection time next year, so brother Dumbya bailed him out by cutting down the area of such drilling and specifying that all leases would be carried out through the state of Alabama.
This might or might not be good news for environmentalists. It's definitely good news for Jeb. Who knows what benefit the state of or the governor of Alabama was promised.
But wasn't the grandious plan for offshore oil drilling from Florida part and parcel of bush's energy plan (no, it was Clinton's plan) designed to free the country from dependence on foriegn oil?
Hasn't dumbya thrown out his energy plan in part for the sake of his brother's political career?
Guess he DOES realize that he owes his job to jebby and crew.
