It was an opt in email I received this morning. Copied the text below. Brief and not flashy, but gets the point across. Bidville and ePier should take a lesson!
Oh yeah, noticed I made a sale at the site to a newbie buyer shortly after reading the email, so maybe it worked! The buyer offered the highest amount I've ever received for this particular item which I've also sold many times on eBay and Yahoo. You never know the luck you'll have at these alternative sites!

Check out this Special Offer for EMSi Members!!!
Bargain and Haggle lets you use the reach of the Internet to buy and sell merchandise the way you would in the ideal marketplace -- through 1-to-1 negotiation that's easy, fair and secure. Unlike highly structured auctions or fixed-price sites, Bargain and Haggle keeps control where it belongs: with the buyer and the seller.
At Bargain and Haggle we bring sellers and buyers together without last minute "bidding wars" and drawn out procedures that plague the online auction site. BargainandHaggle.com is anything but typical. We're like a giant online market filled with only the best items.
We work on a "first come, first serve" basis... just like a real, live sale. While negotiating, you have the choice to offer the seller his asking price, or offer what you feel is fair. The seller can accept, stand firm, or meet somewhere in between. If the deal dissatisfies either party... either the buyer or the seller can walk away, and the next person in line can start negotiating. It's that easy!

Hi KC,
I thought it was a great idea! Could you imagine with an old Metro North or a NY,NH&H club car with the plumbing & air compresser still working?
As far as sales on B&H, Friday night someone opened the flood gates. It was like the old days on E-bay.
Thanks for answering me and I wish you a lot of buyers.

Yup, the site sure is keeping me busy. However, the negotiation process can be taxing at times! Many of the initial offers I'm receiving are insulting to say the least. Then I'm forced to insult the negotiater with a counter-offer much, much higher than what they had offered. I don't like to insult people, but what else you gonna do??? At least I'm thankful to get offers!

Hi eSeller004,
I find that most of the bidders are new and are trying out the waters to see how it works? But! I'm starting to get some repete buyers that know what thay want and the turnover is fast.
There are a few wise guys that bid $0.10 on a $25.00 item, So I just walk away! I'm still learning and haveing fun for a change.
I have to make a counter offers and if thay take to long. I just walk away because
I find that if the bidders see you are negotiating that thay don't try to get in their bid.
I realy love to haggle!!!
Have you tried using the offer filter option when listing your products? Depending on the product, I will sometimes accept all offers (I think this is the default), or not allow any offers below 40%. Works well for me and I figure everybody is gonna try to get a deal out of you, that as long as it isn't a nickel (and I have had plenty of those), its atleast a good starting point.
